Train deaths
Does anyone have a source for this claim? In this interview (http://www.rediff.com/entertai/2000/jul/05mal.htm) with Malaika Arora she claims nothing like that happened... 81.235.174.98 18:54, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
POV
Amazing for its time? it was pretty... but by what standard? I think other films (maybe not Indian ones... although Dilwale Dulhania la Jayenge had pretty shots) definitely rival it... it just has a very advertisement tone.... it really was a great movie though... but it shouldn't sound like that. gren 22:39, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I think that the present version seems alot better. I'm removing the POV check tag now. Thanks IncMan July 2, 2005 10:50 (UTC)
The grammar and overall tone of that plot synopsis honestly sounds like it came from the back of the movie box. Did someone really write that, or is it just taken from the movie? Nickoten 02:13, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Troubles of the people - Tetralogy
Guys, dont you think this a teratology, considering Kannathil Muthamittal as well?
Mani decided to make movies about the troubles experienced by people in all the four corners of India. Roja - North Bombay - West Dil Se - East Kannathil Muthamittal - South. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.206.65.97 (talk) 18:42, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Box Office Gross
Did this film really gross $4 million? The source is unclear. I tried converting everything on the source, but all my calculations came up with was $2,807,998. Are my findings incorrect? Jacrio (talk) 03:43, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Terrorists in Northeast Provinces?
Why does it say that he was interviewing in the North-eastern region? I think the beginning was pretty clearly all in the North - Kashmir or nearby provinces - right? SamuelRiv (talk) 06:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
I checked again - the train in the beginning was the Barak Valley Express, which goes through Assam in the Northeast. I can get that he was going all around India, seeing different ethnic groups, but I thought that the separatists central to the plot were in Kashmir. If he was indeed interviewing terrorists from, as it would seem, the United Liberation Front of Asom, then why was Meghna there? I could really use some help putting all these separatists into some context. SamuelRiv (talk) 06:49, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
I think its intentionally ambiguous. The "terrorists" speak Assamese, but the folk dance scene is in Ladakh. The director probably didn't want to identify with any specific separatist group. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.125.90.196 (talk) 04:10, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Young Meghna
As there is a lot of edit warring going on for crediting Jia Khan and Priya Parulekar as young meghna, here is the Youtube source for the proper credit. The video footage clearly says Priya as young Meghna as she is the same actress who played young Annie in Khamoshi. Here is the link. - Vivvt (Talk) 23:51, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- And another one, rather a concrete one. - Vivvt (Talk) 23:57, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- These videos don't prove anything. Someone has added a source now. BollyJeff | talk 01:36, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Have you even seen the second video which credits Parulekar and not Khan? - Vivvt (Talk) 01:51, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- It does not list her role though. IMDB lists them both, with Khan as Meghna. Is MidDay not reliable? BollyJeff | talk 02:01, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- If start and end credit of the film does not credit Khan, it does not matter who else credits her for whatever they say. IMDB page for the film credits Khan and Parulekar both for acting in the movie and per WP:IMDB/RS, it cannot be cited. Here film is the primary source, MidDay, TOI or any other source for that matter can be secondary and should only support the primary sources and not provide any WP:OR. - Vivvt (Talk) 02:12, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Youtube videos can be edited or not fully uploaded. Maybe the part where her name gets mentioned was left out.--Isaacsirup (talk) 03:30, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- That was one heck of an argument I must say!! I am surprised to see kind of arguments you are doing to prove your claims here and elsewhere. - Vivvt (Talk) 11:56, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Also, prove that Khan's credits were "left out" by editing the YouTube video by giving links to the video which credits her or giving a screen shot of the credits. Looking at the above discussion, I started feeling that for some people "seeing is not believing". You need to have a text proof to prove what video shows! - Vivvt (Talk) 13:31, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- IMDB says Jiah khan played young Meghna but was uncredited.[1] Maybe that is why you don't see the name in the video.--Isaacsirup (talk) 20:01, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Please read WP:IMDB/RS. It can not be used as a citation. Also, you have not answered any of the questions I asked earlier and what you are saying is WP:OR - Vivvt (Talk) 20:08, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- I added four more sources (Mumbai Mirror article, digital spy, THE TIMES OF INDIA and The Indian Express in addition to the Midday source)--Isaacsirup (talk) 20:10, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

All the sources you are providing are WP:SECONDARY and they should support WP:PRIMARY which is film in this case and not supposed to provide any other information which is not shown in the film. Otherwise, its WP:OR - Vivvt (Talk) 20:22, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Btw, even if you add thousand newspaper sources saying Madhuri Dixit acted as a lead in a film, it wouldnt be justifiable if film itself shows Manisha Koirala as lead. Try to understand the difference between primary and secondary sources. - Vivvt (Talk) 20:38, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- You both are a bit wrong. The link that was provided above clearly says that secondary sources are preferred to primary sources; and the citations that were added are too many, some are dups of the same text, and none of them clearly say that she played Meghna, it says "a bit part". I think you both still have work to do to prove your points. BollyJeff | talk 20:41, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- The only duplicate of the same text is the digital Spy source[2], which refers to TOI. I removed it--Isaacsirup (talk) 20:50, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Here is the link for Priya Parulekar in Khamoshi. The first link I provided also shows her. If you can identify the face by yourself, that would be great. - Vivvt (Talk) 20:53, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Also, Khan is 1988 born and movie was released in 1998. That makes her 10 and she does not look like to be one in the film as said (if at all you believe she is there). But then it would be WP:OR to say so. Some children grow prematurely sometimes! - Vivvt (Talk) 20:59, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know who Miss Malini's sources are, but she is pretty sure that it is Priya: http://www.missmalini.com/2013/06/05/jiah-khan-dil-se/. BollyJeff | talk 22:42, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
