Llanengan is a small village and community 1.2 miles (1.9 km) south west of Abersoch in Gwynedd, north-west Wales.
In its centre is the parish church of St. Einion, one of the oldest churches in the Llŷn peninsula.
The popular seaside resort village of Abersoch falls within the parish of Llanengan.
The local public house is called the Sun.
Lead was formerly obtained from a lead mine just outside the village. A chimney can be seen on the left from the road to Porth Neigwl ('Hell's Mouth'). It marks the entrance to the former lead workings. [1]
