[edit]

Oddly enough, two music videos exist about Diabolik.

the "Beastie Boys" video is mentioned on the page about the Diabolik movie. On the recent DVD release, they included the video, as well as a documentary where they mention it and include commentary by one of the members. ---emb021.

Animated series

[edit]

I'm sure there was a Diabolik animated series some years ago (possibly produced by Saban, though my memory might be playing tricks). It's probably worth a mention if someone can dig up some information on it. I think the backstory for the series was that he was actually the son of some notorious gangster, or possibly brother, and he worked towards bringing down their criminal empire. -- Supermorff 13:15, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

you are right. a 40-episode series by Saban International for Fox network. Actually is a complicated french/italian/american co-production and results are poor. Larry Brody, a creative consultan for this seris said that "a series that was too childish for Italy and Fox Family, too adult for France and Fox Kids", and it's true. It's a VERY loousy adaptation of the character, cause Fox basically want an hero not a criminal, like he actually is. I guess that english title is "TRACK OF THE PANTHER". In italy was aired in 2000. So i suppose also in U.S.--88.149.169.237 15:50, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It never was aired in the USA. They listed in their lineups and put out promotional information, but it was dumped before release. I'm told it was quite popular in France. Not sure how that happened because it was a piece of crap. 12.205.149.45 05:30, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Diabolik newspaper.jpg

[edit]

Image:Diabolik newspaper.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
