Geely Geometry (Chinese: 吉利几何; pinyin: Jílì jǐhé), or simply known as Geometry, is a car marque created by the Chinese car company Geely in April 2019. The Geely Geometry brand is mainly focused on the development of electric vehicles or NEVs.[1]
The Geometry brand has been reconsolidated into Geely Auto as an entry-level electric product series in March 2023.[2][3]
History
At the beginning of 2019, the Chinese company Geely decided to create a new Geometry subsidiary intended to offer only relatively affordable electric cars with a view to competing with foreign designs offered locally in China[4].
In this way, at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2019, the brand's first vehicle was presented - mid-size sedan Geometry A which is a response to the Tesla Model 3[5], placing it in the Geely portfolio below the more expensive, similar-sized Polestar 2 model.
In June 2020, Geometry presented its second vehicle called Geometry C, this time a compact hatchback in response to models such as Nissan Leaf and Volkswagen ID.3. Geometry C, like the larger A, is a model offered only in China[6].
In February 2021, Geometry presented the modernized A Pro model equipped with a new generation electric drive. With over 203 HP of power, according to the manufacturer's data, the car can travel a maximum of 600 kilometers on one charge according to the NEDC measurement cycle[7].
In March 2023, The Geometry brand has been reconsolidated into Geely Auto as an entry-level electric product series.
