Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level

Reason: Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive edits (non-sourced, with obviously inflated data) by the same non-registered (IP only) user. Klačko (talk) 08:00, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Klačko: Sorry but an admin here cannot recognize that the data is obviously inflated. I don't see any explanation on talk. Please post a new section at article talk with a polite and brief explanation of how it is known that a recent edit is incorrect. Proving that something is incorrect might be difficult and I'm not asking for that. However, you are confident that it's inflated so give a reason for thinking that and point out that the addition is (I think) not sourced, with a link to WP:V. Ideally you would try to engage the IP with that discussion. An admin here would then be able to assess the situation. If I'm missing something, please spell it out. Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Persistent vandalism by IPs. The Banner talk 09:04, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. MelanieN (talk) 15:13, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite pending changes: Persistent vandalism – Persistent vandalism by IPs, restarted shortly after expiry of last protection. The Banner talk 09:06, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of one month, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. MelanieN (talk) 15:14, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Reoccurring and persistent level of IP vandalism. Nauseous Man (talk) 09:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Content dispute. Please use the article's talk page or other forms of dispute resolution. Nauseous Man, looks like a content dispute that should be adressed on the talk page, a talk page which has not been used by anyone, ever. Feel free to link WP:DIFFs of the "vandalism," though, if you think I overlooked something. El_C 13:45, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite full protection: Persistent spamming by a registered autoconfirmed editor, not responding on his/her talk page whatsoever. Possibly with a conflict of interest. The Banner talk 09:55, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Declined. I have given the editor a final warning. I could have applied Extended Confirmed protection to the article, but that would be inappropriate since the problem is coming from a single editor. If they do it again, let me know. MelanieN (talk) 15:35, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Same as above. IPs restoring unsourced and false information to the article that borders on WP:HOAX Volunteer Marek 12:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of one year, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Logged AE action. VM, that page has no lead! El_C 13:30, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I know it has no lede, because it's currently about something which doesn't actually exist. I guess you could have an unsourced lede along the lines of "Zaprozhye Oblast is an oblast of Russia which may exist at some future point according to some Wikipedia editors" or something. Volunteer Marek 13:33, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I like the "according to some Wikipedia editors" part. El_C 13:55, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@El C it really needs full protection,, I see accounts adding unsourced OR> Doug Weller talk 15:20, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Extended confirmed protected for the duration. Doug, I hope your surgery went well. Best wishes, El_C 15:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@El C thanks. It did but exhausted and a bit of pain. Doug Weller talk 15:54, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. Migsmigss (talk) 12:26, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. El_C 13:27, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent Disruptive Editing. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:00, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of one year, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Quite a few protections this year — perhaps a spillover from the final season of Better Call Saul (which was great!)...? El_C 14:05, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly. I don't really keep track of what is affected by what unless I have a reason to care. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:12, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I didn't expect you to know, regardless if you care or not. It's just a nothing-comment which notes that prior to 2022, the last protection was in 2015. El_C 14:20, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Huh... that is rather interesting. I figured it was just cause of what seemed like a sudden jump of popularity. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:22, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes protection: Recent unconstructive edits by IPs (reliably sourced info removed, bad formatting and fluff inserted), especially involving SM Mall of Asia in the largest mall list. Pending changes protection should keep their edits in check. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 14:36, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pending-changes protected for a period of 2 months, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. MelanieN (talk) 15:42, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Repeated vandalism from multiple SPAs. gobonobo + c 15:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary pending changes protection: Persistent WP:FILMPLOT violations. Semi might work as well ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:53, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent trolling and IP hopping by same IP range[1][2][3][4] for days of days. Frequently harassing a particular user by canvassing many editors against him.[5][6] >>> Extorc.talk 15:54, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
