The Karadiya Rajputs are classified as karadiya because they have paid tax; "kar + diya" means "Tax Payers". In saurashtra and kutch; out of 36 [[Rajput]] rajvansh (clan), some rajvansh/ rajput branches like [[Dodiya]], Dahima, Mori, Bhatti (Bhati), Tuvar (Tanwar), Jadav, Sindhav (Sendhav), Nakum (Nikumbh), Padhiyar (Parihar) etc found in only & only [[karadiya rajput]] And Nadoda Rajputs of Gujarat.


Dodiya of sardargadh state (rajasthan) and Piploda State (madhya pradesh) are basically from [[Junagadh]] (Saurashtra). Later they had migrated from Junagadh (saurashtra). In madhya Pradesh Dodiya rajputs use surname “Girnara” because of their junagadh connection. King Aparji Dodiya was karadiya rajput and he was chief sardar of Raa mandlik(a chudasama king) who was king of junagadh.

Mori rajputs have association with the great maharaja [[Bappa Rawal]] of [[Mewad]]; because Mori rajputs are maternal uncle (mama) of bappa rawal. Mori rajputs are found in saurashtra, kutch, rajasthan and utterpradesh.

Bhatti(bhati) raputs and Jadav rajputs are yaduvanshi rajputs and they are descendants of lord shri krishna. Bhatti (bhati) rajputs are found in gujarat, rajasthan, utterpradesh ( gokul- mathura). The word Jadav has been derived from Jadu/ Yadu. Jadav rajputs are found in saurtashtra and rajasthan.

Mahaveer ramdevji maharaj (rama- peer) was [[Tanwar]] (Tuvar is apbhransh/ synonyms word of Tanwar). Anang pal Tanvar (Tuvar) was king of delhi. Tuvar (Tanvar) rajputs are found in saurashtra, rajasthan etc.

Sindhav rajputs are descendants of King pushpadev sendhav (sindhav), who was also famous rajput king of saurashtra.

Nakum is apbhransh/synonyms of [[nikumbh]]. Nakum (Nikumbh) rajputs are found in saurashtra, rajasthan etc. Dahima branch of rajput is also found in saurashtra, kutch and in rajasthan.
