Welcome! |

Hello, Ctwomen, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Women's Hall of Fame, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted. |

A tag has been placed on Women's Hall of Fame, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. |

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. <!-- Template:Db-spam-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Joe Chill (talk) 14:24, 15 August 2011 (UTC) |

== Suggestions and offer to help == |

I reverted the speedy deletion on Women's Hall of Fame, as I view that as a legitimate use of user space. However, your user page is supposed to be about you and your interaction with Wikipedia, not a place to promote some cause, however notable. I urge you to remove the material about the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame from your user page (looks like I am too late). |
I also have an interest in the subject, although knew nothing about it until now. I'll be out of the country until the end of the month, but when I return, would be happy to help you with the draft article. Let me know my talk page--<font style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva; font-size:15px;"><span style="background:#002868;color:#fff;padding:0 4px">SPhilbrick</span><span style="background:#ADD8E6;padding:0 4px;color:#fff;">T</span></font> 15:15, 15 August 2011 (UTC) |
:I see that the draft contained material subject to copyright. While I support the use of user drafts, even for material that might violate some of the article guidelines, that doesn't extend to Copyright issues, so I support the deletion. Again, I am willing to help, though not till September.--<font style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva; font-size:15px;"><span style="background:#002868;color:#fff;padding:0 4px">SPhilbrick</span><span style="background:#ADD8E6;padding:0 4px;color:#fff;">T</span></font> 15:22, 15 August 2011 (UTC) |

==Copyright violation in :User:Ctwomen and Women's Hall of Fame== |
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the pages :User:Ctwomen and Women's Hall of Fame, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your additions were deleted under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion. |
You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. |
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more. |
While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. |
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page.<!-- Template:Nothanks-warn-deletion -->--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 15:19, 15 August 2011 (UTC) |
