Notices

  • There has been a proposal made for a new suite of tools, to be known as Wikisuite. Comments are invited.
  • Following statements by Jimbo Wales, there is a new discussion about whether there was a consensus to merge Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research into Wikipedia:Attribution.
  • The new lesson at the Virtual classroom is Yuser, on fighting linkspam.
  • Add the full-featured in-browser MediaWiki editor wikEd is now in use by more than 500 users on the English Wikipedia! Features include regular expression search and replace, wikicode syntax highlighting, and MS-Word import (including tables). The fullscreen editing mode, 'jump-to-heading', and 'inline references hiding' features as well as the server-independent 'Show preview' and 'Show changes' assist in editing long articles.
  • An essay has been written on the credentialling dispute suggesting that Credentials matter. Please read and comment on the talk page.
  • A group of editors has written an essay at Wikipedia:Credentials are irrelevant that attempts to address the present dispute over credentials. They would appreciate feedback on the talk page.
  • One-month Backlog Reduction Drive: WikiProject Biography invites you to participate in a new one-month drive to reduce the over 135,000 unassessed biography articles. Barnstars and other awards will be awarded for performance through March 24, 2007.
