Deletion and Restoration

@Jimfbleak: Thanks for your reply. Yes, I mean Draft:Whiteplains British School submitted last Friday (16 June 2017). Although there was a claim of its file(s) being a copyright violation, I pray you restore deleted page (the main article and its infobox) with your modifications to avoid promotional tone. 'Admission Requirements'? That section was there to give the article a broad scope. If you nonetheless feel otherwise, you should remove it. I think the promotional tone you suspected in the text was not deliberate. Nor do I have a link with the organization I wrote on. Do you mean any article aspiring to be on Wikipedia pade should be qualified with adjectives? However, what did you mean by ‘I’ll delete your SANDBOX PURELY as HOUSEKEEPING’? Please do explain better.

While I disagree that ‘much of’ my text lack independent verifiable sources, I understand that I immaturely inserted bare url which I later suspected that it could cause link rot, as you said. It is on this ground that I want you to restore it, so that I can make some edits. Besides, I have tried as much as possible to insert sources (not blogs or websites that linked to the organization or are self-edited as you claim) that are reliable and verifiable. But if there is any you suspected of, I think you should highlight it for me to understand. Nonetheless, please proceed with your edits as long it will give the article a place on Wikipedia. I believe you understand more than I do.Nwachinazo (talk) 14:11, 22 June 2017 (UTC) --Nwachinazo (talk) 14:31, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo, I've seen this message, but it may take a while before I have time to deal with it Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:27, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nwachinazo, I've restored and made these edits. Ask if you don't understand anything I've done. Three refs still need fixing and I've indicated where text should either be sourced or removed. Don't put refs in headings Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:03, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak@ Thank you so much for the prompt response. After my revisions, what next? I think this article should proceed to the next stage: Wikipedia page (Mainspace/Namespace). Please do help!Nwachinazo (talk) 11:43, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen your edits and I have been able to do some fundamental edits too based on your advice. Kindly proceed to ensure that the article Draft:Whiteplains British School is given a Wikipedia page creation (Mainspace or Namespace). Trust that you would help out. Thanks, Jimfbleak!--Nwachinazo (talk) 13:30, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo, you can either wait for a formal AFC review, see the tag at the bottom of your draft, or just move it to main space and see what happens Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:51, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak@Advise on how to move the article to main space. Or you do think the article has passed your test for encyclopedic, neutral topic? However, can you just help to move the article to the main space if it is the best option?--Nwachinazo (talk) 14:07, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo, better for you to do it. You should see a "Move" tab, click that and select (article) from the drop down menu for the left box, and the name of the school in the right box Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:14, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Actually difficult to do. Can't see the 'move' tab. Where can I find it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nwachinazo (talkcontribs) 10:43, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I have successfully moved the draft. So what next, Jimfbleak?--Nwachinazo (talk) 11:08, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo, you have the correct title now (without the "(WBS)", but what I meant was that you should move it to article space (select (Article) in the move box), and move it to Whiteplains British School Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:13, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Jimfbleak! The article was again declined by one Dodger67, who claimed the 'most of its references are directory-type list or profile written by people who are close to the subject.' However, I have written to him to refute his claims and for him to do justice to the article. I think the article's references are media and websites, most of which give the subject significant coverage and are not written by persons linked to the school, as you yourself have seen. I think Dodger67, the reviewer, is ironically claiming that the article is promotional and therefore advertisement. This I have long re-edited fundamentally under your watch. Please what can be done?--Nwachinazo (talk) 10:08, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo, looking at the comments by Dodger67, I don't think he's saying it's promotional, just that not all your refs are adequate. For example this reference is obviously written by the school, it even syas "About us". I think the school is notable if only because of the coverage of its fees and the award, which is why I helped you remove the promotional tone, so you need to see what improvements he suggests. He is an experience admin, so he knows what he's doing Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:30, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Jimfbleak, I have some edits on the references. Could you now review and help find if there are any irregularities you could highlight and possibly remove? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nwachinazo (talkcontribs) 11:28, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo. Comments on refs. 1, 2 and 8 look OK; although 8 is a picture caption, it clearly supports the claim and is an acceptable source. 3 is relevant and sourced; a weblink would be better than an Excel sheet if that is possible, but the source is OK. 4 I don't think is relevant, 5 isn't a good source and is in any case virtually the same as 6. 7 was a dead link when I tried it Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:09, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, Jimfbleak. I have just done some review and made some edits again. Hope this will be acceptable at this time. Take a look and comment. However, could it be possible for the article to gain entrance into mainspace with its few reliable, verifiable and third-party refs?--Nwachinazo (talk) 12:51, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Nwachinazo, that looks better, but you really need to see what Dodger67 thinks. There is no minimum number of references required as long as they support the text and show notability Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:27, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jimfbleak, thank you for your understanding. It is good to be under your tutelage.Nwachinazo (talk) 09:22, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dodger67 has commented, saying the article should wait for the next review by another reviewers to avoid bias of a single reviewer. What do you think now?Nwachinazo (talk) 09:32, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

He is an experienced reviewer, you don't have to do that, but it's good advice Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:40, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak, I have just added two (especially No 4) refs. Please check if they are reliable and suitable for Wikipedia article.Nwachinazo (talk) 13:41, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nwachinazo, I don't think there is much point to the Guardian ref, you already have two refs there and there is nothing in that ref about the school other than a picture. The other one clearly has some input from the school, but will probably do. Note that if you add n edit summary to your edits it makes it easier to see what you have done Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:59, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

EIT Digital under construction article deleted

Dear Jim,

I was working on an inexistent article about the European organisation EIT Digital when it got erased. I do not see any reason to do so as I am an impartial editor creating a based-on-veridic-information piece in a neutral way.

Also, the article was far away from being completed and therefore could not have yet the quality I wanted it to have.

Please let me continue working on it and validate it or not once finished.

Thanks in advance and regards, Alcross86 (talk) 16:17, 29 June 2017 (UTC) Al Cross[reply]

Ukraine Prosthetic Assistance project

Hi Jim,

Why did you delete the draft? It was an original text for Wikipedia ONLY about a worthy notable, global cause. Not copypasted and not saved anywhere else. A warning or a comment would be nice at least prior to deleting the piece. It was a draft, still being edited. Could you please restore it so that the text could at least be saved. Thank you Contributor800 (talk) 17:16, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on user talk page, offer to restore edited version after COI response Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:14, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The article will be changed, sources will be added, etc. Please restore the draft so that it could be changed. Thank you Contributor800 (talk) 14:45, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this project still does not belong here, please just restore the text, so that I could save it for myself. And then delete it. Thank you

Mistle Thrush - Cultural deletion

Hello Sir, I wondered why you felt it appropriate to delete the reference to the Roy Harper album 'Stormcock'. Clearly this is a notable reference to the subject matter. I notice that you delete many items so I wonder if you find time to read the addition. I remind you that Wikipedia maintains democratic usage. It is not a personal fiefdom. I would like to say thta whilst this is a critiscm as I do not think the entry should have been deleted you are obviously a fine scholar of this format and for that I salute you.
