You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on :Natalia Poklonskaya. Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

# Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. re MOS-TW

The article currently titled Bradley Manning contains information about an individual who is identified in reliable sources (which are cited in the article) as a transgender woman, and consensus (here) was that the template therefore obviously applied. Cheers, -sche (talk) 20:04, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There appear to be consesus leaning tward keeping the template, that dosn't mean that the template is supported by policy, hence someone needs to either change the template or prove that it is supported by policy. CombatWombat42 (talk) 20:11, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Consensus can override policy. Insulam Simia (talk · contribs) 20:13, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Is there consensus that that template is accurate to either policy or the consensus on that topic? I hightly doubt that there is. CombatWombat42 (talk) 20:16, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The view which is, by a wide margin, prevailing in the deletion discussion is that the template accurately repeats what MOS:IDENTITY says, and discussion on WT:MOS has found that most editors support the gender-related parts of MOS:IDENTITY (though there is discussion of removing or editing the part that discusses the use of "Jew" vs "Jewish person"). Cheers, -sche (talk) 20:31, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If I accept that consensus has been reached (I'm not sure I do) can you agree that the template could be interprited as biased by a resonable third party? Do you think that templates are more likely to be taken serously than other parts of a talk page? Do you agree that there is still argument as to the interpritation of the MOS IDENTITY? If you think it could be interpreted as biased and is more likely to be taken serously, do you not think that it should be neutral to the argument about the interipriation of MOS IDENTITY? How does it hurt anyone to make the template more neutral? CombatWombat42 (talk) 20:37, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
What do you say we follow Dolescum's suggestion and consolidate this discussion on either the template talk page or on WT:MOS (since the template is just a vehicle for repeating MOS:IDENTITY). The last WT:MOS discussion only closed a few days ago, but recent closure of a discussion of an issue doesn't seem to stop anyone from starting new discussions of the issues, lol. -sche (talk) 20:47, 5 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User page

I have undone your utterly inappropriate revert, and protected the page. We have editors of all religions and nationalities here, and they don't need to see that sort of crap. If you restore it after the protection expires, I will take it as disruption. Black Kite (talk) 20:31, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty sure I'm right, if ANI says otherwise I appologise. please read WP:NOTCENSORED: "Wikipedia cannot guarantee that articles or images will always be acceptable to all readers, or that they will adhere to general social or religious norms." ... "However, some articles may include images, text or links, which some people may find objectionable, when these materials are relevant to the content. Discussion of potentially objectionable content should not focus on its offensiveness but on whether it is an appropriate image, text or link. Beyond that, "being objectionable" is generally not sufficient grounds for removal or inclusion of content." CombatWombat42 (talk) 20:37, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
"Wikipedia cannot guarantee that articles or images" ... neither of which includes talk pages. See WP:UP (especially images) and WP:POLEMIC. Black Kite (talk) 20:41, 15 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ANI comments

Editors commenting on administrators' noticeboards are expected to be on best behavior and not to exacerbate already stressed situations. You might consider whether your comments there recently were constructive and collegial. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 20:40, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to form your own opinion of my comments, but I have a problem with people asking for special treatment, especially without WP:V. I choose not to give special treatment to people just because of something they claim. If I have violated policy please let me know which one so I can not do it again. COI

I would like to know how you assume that a COI is obvious. Is it because I just so happen to have LYNX in my name? Maybe becuase of that and the fact I am trying to save the page work that again has the same name in it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djnlynx (talkcontribs) 02:55, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

On another note: I understand that I am newer to how this all works, hell I am still trying to get the thing to sign my posts which is why I said to bring it talk to discuss what was wrong and why because as stated on the LYNX page many other transit agencies pages have information that include fares routes bus current and past etc.

That is what the page was modeled after. Many things were already there when I got to it even like the routes. All I did was section them and put it in table format. Matter of fact I believe the only thing I really added new is the Fare Schedule and Superstops/transfer locations to go with the station which was on other pages which is why I didn't see it as wrong since other pages and I do mean more then just one page has such. Another user has added and updated the fleet information regularly and another user added the past figures for ridership and whatnot. Others have input little here and a little there. That is what I thought this was all about. Now much later comes you and Dirk B. saying its wrongs and erasing stuff without bringing it in for discussion first which I asked for repeatedly and then you come in just like him tell me I am wrong just like him and delete all the work again just like him. But it gets better then you have the nerve to say before I revert to bring it to the talk page. REALLY? That is all I was asking for was to actually talk about what should be gone and why and do that without every bloody thing that several users including myself have worked on for quite some time but no you guys just come in and relate it all and then you tell me to being it to talk and report me for Conflict of Interest. Your right that I only work on the LYNX page. That's obvious by my contributions to only that page and yes obviously I have interest in the company hence the LYNX in my name but I only was trying to make the page better based off other pages for TAs for the company that I like. Please tell me why it is that I should being it talk for discussion with you but you can't do the same courtesy for me when that was all I asked in the first place. Let's see if it will sign this time Djnlynx (talk) 03:17, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

To long and angry in tone, didn't read all. You seem to have a pretty good knowlage of wikpdeia policy [2] [3] for someone who is "newer to how this all works" CombatWombat42 (talk) 16:10, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You for the note about the misspell. I guess that Dirk isn't a name that spell check recognized and changed it. My knowledge comes from your actions. Since I was marked under COI by you I found the continuing information about SPA and such related to it and read it.

I am not angry in the least, more disappointed then anything else that people like yourself come onto a page disregarding the request to discuss on the talk page to the other user and then after doing the same and more then the other editor you had the thought to say the exact same thing I said like yours should mean something more then my own. We are all editors trying to make a page or multiple pages better to enhance the Wikipedia as a whole and we should respect each other by discussing proposed removals or changes to a page if a disagreement comes up, not remove the things we do not thing should be there and be like yeah if you want to put it back we should discuss it. Thank You again for the notice of misspell, all I ask is the same respect you would expect to recieve in the same position Djnlynx (talk) 03:16, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That couldn't be further from the truth and it was very unprofessional of you to say as much. If you have a problem with the page, take it to the talk page. The EXACT problem you have with the page has already been discussed there, and I suggest reviewing it. Also, the citations for it being the first ARE reliable, third party sources. In fact, one of them is from a University. I have no problem supplanting Magic as the first created CCG, but you need a source to prove it. Currently, I have several (4) to prove that, and to date, no one has given one to the contrary. Leitmotiv (talk) 18:25, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. CombatWombat42 (talk) 18:29, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, you say it doesn't bother you that Magic was the first, but I recall earlier edits of yours along the same lines over half a year ago, and here you are back at it again. No one is fooled. The edit history is there to prove it. I am more than happy to discuss this with you on the CCG talk page, but bring proof for your point of view. Edits to Energetically Modified Cement Page

You have removed 22000 bytes in 2 mins. Specifically:

1. Removal of Bache Method diagram. Stating it is uncited. It is only uncited because a non-expert removed the subtitle. It is from Bache 1983. The subtitle to the picture used to read:

"Before another removed all the captions from the photos, then it used to read "Diagram: "Bache method" for testing concrete durability, which simulates daily temperature variations in brine. Test 1 or 2 (each 24 h) may be used, or both performed sequentially during a 48-hour period. The chosen cycle is repeated ad nausem in order to determine the mass-loss, as an analogue for durability."

And, it is referenced. Reference 55 "Bache, M (1983). "Densified cement/ultra fine particle-based materials". Proceeding of the Second International Conference on Superplasticizers in Concrete."

2. The section "EMC Activation", which part is "academic puffery"? You do realize that the reaosn why that section was prcisely to answer why it was EMCs produce their effects?

3. You have removed the entire section of environmental savings, and all of the references.

You did all this in 2 minutes - without discussion, Yes?

Indef IPs

Hi, I see the discussion Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)#Oppose_1_.28leave_indefed_IPs_blocked.29 is closed now, but I'd like to reply to you.

You say, that a forced review is giving another admin backlog. First, no, it does not need to be an admin backlog - regular editors do not need the ability to unblock to review an indef block, anyone can do it. Moreover, I (and now quite strongly) to have a bot-review on it, which also does not need an admin bit at first (if the bot checkouts seem fine, one could consider to have the bot unblock the IPs and hence give it admin rights). And then the contrary: just unblocking the IPs at random times will, likely (see the example I gave), result in vandalism from said IP re-occurring, and hence it eats away editors' time and likely result in the backlogs on AIV become bigger again. There, likely, is not a real win-situation.

As either of us is in a way uninformed - we both don't know how many of the indef-IPs are actually occupied by new editors - I think that would really be the right way of action: see if one can get at least some numbers on IPs which are indef blocked, and which of those are still on the same ownership, unclear or clearly the same after 1, 2, .. years. My question is really: is this problem really a problem, are many of those IPs really already moved to a new owner (and then, how many of those are occupied by a likely (not potential, likely) Wikipedia editor)? --Dirk Beetstra T C 10:59, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WP:SPORTCRIT

Hi. Have a read of WP:SPORTCRIT before blindly restoring tags. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:17, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, have a read of the tag before reading them. CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:18, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
When you've grasped the basics of WP policy, then you can comment. Until then, don't bother me again. All the best. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:38, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I could say the same to you, it's all about interpretation. CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:39, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well another editor has "interpretation" about your A3 tag. Read WP:CSD about no content. You're nearly there! Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:45, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Your reason for removing the template is WP:IAR which is an essay, with no consenus. My reason for reverting you is WP:SPEEDYDELETE a policy, which has consensus. Which is more important?CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:48, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
IAR isn't an essay, it's a pillar, one of the five founding principles of Wikipedia. It is one of the most fundamental policies we have. Its invocation here was completely reasonable. Writ Keeper 20:01, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Wombat - what part of don't bother me again don't you understand? DO NOT post on my talkpage again. Final warning. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 06:46, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DO NOT POST OR EDIT ON MY TALKPAGE AGAIN

I hope that is clear. Go away. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 18:59, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And in order to emphasize that, if you DO post there (other than posting something like an ANI notice as per requirements) I will block you for harassment. You clearly did not get the message the first two times - and that's rather inappropriate. It's unfortunate to have to make this more formalized than it should have been DP 09:41, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Came to post after closing the thread to discover that DangerousPanda beat me to it.
You are technically correct - talkpage guidelines make clear - Striking text constitutes a change in meaning, and should only be done by the user who wrote it or someone acting at their explicit request. But the real issue is that Lugnuts has repeatedly asked that not post anything on their talkpage and -- this is the key point - they are entitled to do so and you should (must) respect their request. Had you respected the request when asked, they would never have had to strike the posts in the first place.
So - I've suggested to Lugnuts that they simply delete your posts rather than strike them, so that no one is under the impression that the striking was from you. But as others have already said, don't post there again. Not at all. If you do, there is potential for this account to be blocked for harassment of another editor.
Not that you have in any way implied you would do this, but please don't also consider alternative forms of communication like (say) emails to Lugnuts or the "thank" function. Best just to leave him or her completely alone and get back to the content work that we're all originally here for.
Messages like this never seem to invite further contact, but if there's anything that's unclear or that I've explained poorly please let me know. Euryalus (talk) 11:14, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As I have explained elsewhere, since we regularly strike invalid !votes by block-evading socks on AFD's rather than remove them, there is extensive jurisprudence for striking on talkpages as well. This is especially the case when there have been additional comments based on the inappropriate post. However, such striking should be clearly labelled by the person who strikes it. So, Lugnuts either strikes and labels, or removes/hats. Either way meets jurisprudence and policy DP 12:17, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There's no apostrophe on AFDs, DP. Here's a book you might like to read. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 15:50, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am happy to never post on his page again, I didn't realise he had asked until the second message, my mistake. But by that time he had edited my message in and inappropriate way, and I had no way to respond. Again, I apologies for any perceived harassment, I just did not like being misrepresented. CombatWombat42 (talk) 13:56, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As noted above, it wasn't actually inappropriate. Hopefully you've taken that into account now as well. Drama is best left off the project, no matter who starts it :-) DP 14:28, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
"Of course striking another's comments is editing them -- Wikipedia:STRIKE clearly states "When editing your own previous remarks in talk pages,"" --NE_ent, "Yeah, I didn't want to say anything but... from what I remember of this in the past, another editor may only strike out another's comments when they have permission or have been asked to do so." --Mark Miller, Very much inappropriate. CombatWombat42 (talk) 14:32, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The talkpage "guidelines", not policy. Miller is unfortunately for your sake, wrong. As noted, we regularly strike on AFD's, so there's jurisprudence. Take the chip off your shoulder and move on - you're lucky you weren't blocked for repeatedly editing there. Move along DP 19:19, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You clearly cannot read, from WP:TPO "Never edit or move someone's comment to change its meaning, even on your own talk page. Striking text constitutes a change in meaning, and should only be done by the user who wrote it or someone acting at their explicit request." Emphasis on TPO, not mine. That is exactly what happened. CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:34, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and because I think its funny, DangerousPanda, never post on my talk page agin. CombatWombat42 (talk) 19:36, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, funny ... but funnier is that a GUIDELINE holds a lot less weight, and WP:TPO is a guideline and not a policy - there's a big difference. Cheers. DP 19:47, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Indiggo. Specifically, here, for which you have already been warned a number of times. Epeefleche (talk) 20:42, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just to note that you're at 3 reverts for the day on Indiggo, and you have no defense under WP:BLP as this is sourced material.— alf laylah wa laylah (talk) 20:56, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WP:3rr does not apply to WP:BLP violations, and WP:BLPSOURCES clearly states that "must be attributed to a reliable, published source" of which you tube is not. CombatWombat42 (talk) 21:01, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The 3RR exception applies only to contentious BLP violations, not just any bit of information about a living person. The exception you invoke goes on to say that what counts as exempt under BLP can be controversial. Consider reporting to the BLP noticeboard instead of relying on this exemption. I don't see how calling someone "American" is particularly contentious, so don't violate 3RR to keep removing it. Writ Keeper 22:09, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Writ Keeper, how would you like it if I called them Nazis without a source? Many people consider "American" worse than "Nazi", it seems unlikely in this case but we as an encyclopedia cannot know how they feel about being called an arbitrary nationality with no source. CombatWombat42 (talk) 00:37, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There are people who will consider anything and everything contentious, even one's age; that doesn't make it so. Don't play games, don't invoke Godwin's law. Just don't edit war. It's that simple. Writ Keeper 00:50, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, just like names are not contentious and we should accept majority rules for them. As for your calling out of Godwin's law, what is the worst nationality you can call someone? Hyperbole with the worst nationality is not the same as invoking Nazism for no reason. CombatWombat42 (talk) 01:18, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

May 2014

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Natalia Poklonskaya. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

 1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. VQuakr (talk) 19:30, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
