Welcome—request protection of a page, file, or template here. | ||
---|---|---|
Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection) After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.
Request protection of a page, or increasing the protection level
Request unprotection of a page, or reducing the protection level
Request a specific edit to a protected page
Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here |

Temporary semi-protection: IP socks of User:Cláudio César Dias Baptista keep readding original research to article. Cláudio César Dias Baptista has been protected for the same reason. The user should be blocked soon due to use of sockpuppets to fake consensus on the articles' AfDs. XXX antiuser eh? 14:26, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Again, unreasonable war times or more in the article. In my opinion, an attempt to provide the scientists' view of Sciences as a purely "position of Russian science" is a reductio ad absurdum. Firstly it is not true ([1]), and secondly it is a game with rules, so it requires from the opponents extra and unnecessary sources. And of course, with such understatement of criticism is "cleansing "of pseudoscientific theories. P.S Now even better - the participant wrote that removes the replay at the same time making a return to his version Mistery Spectre (talk) 11:52, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Dabomb87 (talk) 15:27, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Then you can transfer this message to the administrators? I just do not know already what to do when a person is hollywar in a wiki and at the same time for a single corrects the fact that he was not given in the first Mistery Spectre (talk) 17:43, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Semi-Protect. The lifting of last semi-protection in the article did not help stop the unnecessary additions and deletions mainly by IP addresses, which still resulted in a rather large wave of reverting edits. The "semi-protection" may need to be longer or permanent; the unnecessary additions and deletions has already caught my attention a while after the last semi-protection, and there could be more of those later given that new episodes of the show airs on weekends. Semi-protection requested for one month. 12 edits by IP addresses in three days. At least one participant is probably an IP sock of a banned user. This can calm down, please. I dropped out of trying to watch this article a few days ago, it just keeps going back and forth. SchmuckyTheCat (talk) 04:27, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Pretty please can this have action? Two new IP have joined the party, almost assuredly the same user on an ISP with a rotating proxy/NAT/cache but still disruptive. SchmuckyTheCat (talk) 20:27, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Current requests for unprotection
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin on their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page, please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected, please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Current requests for edits to a protected page
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{Edit protected}}
,{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
Fulfilled/denied requests
Indefinite semi-protection: Who in their right mind would unprotect this? This page is a /b/tard magnet!. --The Σ talkcontribs 04:43, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't think this is getting that much vandalism. I'll leave this for someone else, though. J.delanoygabsadds 05:35, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, clubot might not mind reverting but I'm getting sick of it. Agreed /b/ is here insmall but on-going spurts!--Torchwoodtwo (talk) 09:08, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Semi-protected for a period of three days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. It started getting hit about four hours after the original request. --Bongwarrior (talk) 09:12, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
Semi-protection requested for six months. Not quite boiling revert war in progress involving IPs. At least one participant is probably an IP sock of a banned user. No significant contribution has come from an IP on this article in more than a year, but the IP revert warring extends back at least that long. I dropped out of trying to watch this article a few days ago, it just keeps going back and forth. SchmuckyTheCat (talk) 04:27, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Semi-protected for a period of 10 days, after which the page will be automatically unprotected.. Trying this first to see if it will get them to use the talk page. J.delanoygabsadds 06:00, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
