Cocoa is a book by Kristy Leissle.
The book covers cocoa's history, and contemporary production, economics, politics, trade, consumption and geography.[1]
The book is critical of ignorance regarding Africa's role in cocoa production, labor exploitation, gender inequalities and the fairness of 'fair trade'.[1]
Leissle is optimistic for a future where farmers are valued.[1]
