edit- Born in Knoxville, Tennessee on December 13, 1979
- Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio
- Graduated from Glen Este High School in 1998
- Attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania graduating in 2002 (BSBA) and 2007 (MA in Higher Education).
- Currently I attend the University of Pittsburgh (PhD in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education).
- Growing up I played baseball against a handful players that are now in the Major Leagues and one that is in the NFL: Aaron Cook, Kevin Youkilis, Matt Holliday, Corey Patterson, John Van Benschoten, and Rocky Boiman
