Dear Mrs.weresch,
About the life systems page that you gave us on our diversity of living things project. The part were you state that we have to identify the animals phylum (invertebrates) or class (vertebrate). Don't you mean subphylum instead of class. I don't know if you meant to put that or not, but I put a defanition and you can tell me if I m right or wrong.
The subphylum
In biological term, a division between phylum and class The rank of plants and fungi are equivalent to subphylum. Not all phyla are divided into subphylum. Subphylums are actually verebrates/vertebratas
I don't know if think that this is right or not.
Thank you for your time,
Geneva

I removed Craniata - it's a superset of Vertebrata and at most one of them can be considered a subphylum. I left Vertebrata as it's the better known. Orcoteuthis (talk) 15:25, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
