Shouldn't ArmA: Gold Edition be mentioned? After all there's Operation Flashpoint: Gold Edition in the list. Hamarainen (talk) 11:29, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
I did not see OFP Dragon Rising mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.132.207.16 (talk) 16:29, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Bohemia Interactive was in no way involved in development or publishing of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. It was a game by Codemasters. --Hamarainen (talk) 11:00, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
The information written about the Lemnos arrests as it is now should not be included, it's based on primarily false facts and Greek media propaganda, they've taken names and details of a perfectly legal, perfectly non-intrusive research session from 2010/2011 as posted on Bohemia's own blog and twisted it into a false record of fact which someone from Greece has quoted verbatim, considering the ongoing legal issues involved wiki should not be including anything until it's confirmed by multiple sources, not just a Greek bias from the Greek media. The only thing that's 100% known and confirmed is that two Bohemia Interactive employees were arrested on the island of Lemnos, anything else is false, harmful and distressing. PlaceboPRS (talk) 06:59, 17 September 2012 (UTC).
- Claiming that Greek media is biased in this case without providing citation, sources real counterarguments etc is really lame. Please do not delete or alter the text again unless you can provide data and sources, unless you can show what's wrong with it in a substaniated manner.
- Moreover whether Greek media are biased in this case or not would also not justify the deletion of the text because e.g. there was (and now there is again) inter alia a googlecache copy of the forum thread in the aforementioned deleted text.Thanatos|talk 12:14, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
P.S.Just for the record it's not vandalism according to Wikipedia:Vandalism. So I take this specific word back.Thanatos|talk 12:51, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
---Copying verbatim from Talk:Arma 3---OK again just for the record;PlaceboPRS (an new editor who started editing here after and about the incident) raged against alleged Greek media propaganda and false facts.
I'm not certain what this they've taken names and details of a perfectly legal, perfectly non-intrusive research session from 2010/2011 as posted on Bohemia's own blog and twisted it into a false record of fact which someone from Greece has quoted verbatim means;if it means that the Greek machine somehow managed to alter googlecache copy records et cetera or even more then simply lol...
Now let's see who PlaceboPRS might be :

If I were trying to hide my identity I wouldn't have used a combination of my online nickname and my real initials, yet another example of looking for espionage when none exist. I removed the stuff you added because it was false and it was distressing to the friends and families of those arrested, it didn't even name the correct person arrested, how do you think the friends and family of the incorrectly named person felt? Here's a number of sources for you: https://www.google.com/news?ncl=daBx22ASwCRQT4Mhg6NWMgpyocJeM&q=bohemia+interactive&lr=English&hl=en I look forward to your correcting the falsehoods PlaceboPRS (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:41, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
- You hadn't stated explicitly your connection with Bohemia Interactive but still deleted a fully referenced passage(that inter alia included non Greek sources) claiming that the whole issue is a creation of Greek media bias, of Greek media propagandising, without providing (now or then-before) a single picogramme of evidence about anything.
- Moreover, sorry to inform you (no pun just a plain reality for most of names or internet aliases) but PlaceboPRS isn't a famous name that the great majority of people in the real world know of and therefore instantly once written, people have to know that you're a top BI Forum Moderator.Had to google it and then go through results and connect the dots in order to make a possible(and seemingly probable) connection.
- Won't you agree that this behaviour of yours is not very proper?
- Again (I don't, hitherto or henceforth, speak or claim to be speaking for the whole wikipedia community) please feel free to edit the passage in whatever direction you want, provided that both what you write is reasonable and you cite sources on what you add, and that you also explain (unfounded or irrelevant or illogical explanations like the ones you've hitherto given don't count) and cite sources showing that what you've deleted is wrong, and/or irrelevant and/or unfounded et cetera.
- E.g.in this last comment here you've claimed that the reported names of the arrestees are wrong("...it didn't even name the correct person arrested...");feel free to correct this while giving us a reference of course for it.It would help improve this (and the ArmA 3) article's accuracy so it it would be very helpful!
- You could write e.g. that "...It had been reported initially in-by such and such sources (references here) that the names of the arrestees are such and such; later this proved to be wrong(references here) and the real names are such and such(references here)...
- P.S.Just for the record I'm just a plain Greek who ,as far as I can recall, had never heard of ArmA3 or BI before the game and the incident were covered in Greek media (first in the past during the aforementioned Parliament discussion and then after the arrest incident).
- P.P.S.As far as the spying (alleged or not;note here also that in the article I wrote alleged espionage) per se is concerned and not our edits here per se(they aren't totally irrelevant-unrelated to each other but let's for the moment think of them as if they were), one might perhaps argue that it depends on what exactly one defines as spying;see for example what the articles 138-152 (especially articles 146-149) of the Greek Poenal Code say about this. And then recall that in Greece, Greek Law is the Law, as is Sweden Swedish Law is, or in Czech Republic Czech Law is...Finally think of, for God's sake, common sense!!! ;-)
CopyEditing
editI've made numerous changes to the entire article regarding grammar and fluency, but for content I am not well-versed enough to address the topics discussed on this forum. I would be happy to return to it once the content has been sorted.Spatium apis (talk) 01:39, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Spatium apis: - Are you referring to the discussion above? Those were sorted out when I have started rewriting the article. AdrianGamer (talk) 13:32, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- @AdrianGamer: - I was! I missed the date underneath, and wasn't sure if they had been addressed since the comments were written, my apologies! If the facts are correct then I believe that everything else is in order! Spatium apis (talk) 02:47, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Bohemia Interactive? They develop one of my favourite video games, ArmA 3 - will definitely review this. Stand by. --TheSandDoctor (talk) 20:34, 8 August 2017 (UTC) "The team also bought a T-72 tank in order to express gratitude" - there is no problem with this line, I just thought I would bring it up as it really seems bizarre. I would seriously recommend nominating this article for DYK once it is approved and having that as a suggested hook - seriously.
- "Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis by Codemasters to critical acclaim." - source?
- "selling more than 500,000 copies in its first three months of release, as well as reaching a top position in retail sales chart across the world including US, UK, Germany and Australia." - source?
- "eam intended to continue updating the game with post-release content, develop a port for the Xbox console, and create a sequel. " - reference?
- "Projected to take only nine months to develop" - source? I read through the reference at the end of the sentence, but it makes no reference to the nine month projection mentioned in this article, did you mean to have this reference there instead of the current one or?
- "A Xbox 360 version was planned but was later scrapped after the team thought that its power was inferior to that of personal computers." - I think this needs a reference closer to it
- "... Czech President Václav Klaus urging the Greek President to solve this issue with "special attention". - source?
- "...ARMA 2 and ARMA 3, both of which have been critically acclaimed and financially sustainable." - I think this needs a source closer to it
- " This helps to increase the longevity of their games significantly and keep the player base engaged in their games for an extended period of time." - source?
That's all - I really like what has been done with this article so far and think that, with these changes, the article will pass GA and would even recommend inquiring about FA. The majority of the above concerns revolve around bringing citations already present closer (as mentioned in some of the above), but there are also some where the citations given do not match the content (might have been put backwards as I found it further down in different area?).
@AdrianGamer: Until these issues are addressed, I am placing this nomination On hold. I realize that you may not be back yet from your vacation so, as with Rainbow 6 siege, I am happy to wait or have these go through one at a time (I am in no hurry). --TheSandDoctor (talk) 21:14, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- @TheSandDoctor: - Thanks for the review and your patience! I have fixed all the issues you have mentioned above and removed the ones I can't fix. AdrianGamer (talk) 09:33, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- I am happy with the fixes that have been implemented at this point, I am happy to re-promote this article. Well done AdrianGamer! Have you considered DYK by any chance? --TheSandDoctor (talk) 17:08, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- I used to nominate lots of my articles for DYK but I lose my interest doing so a year ago. I didn't mind others nominate it though. AdrianGamer (talk) 04:37, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
- Do you mind if I nominate it then AdrianGamer? --TheSandDoctor (talk) 15:04, 10 August 2017 (UTC)
- I am definitely ok with that. AdrianGamer (talk) 11:10, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks AdrianGamer! I have nominated it for DYK (see here). --TheSandDoctor (talk) 23:28, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Cauldron HQ Re-direct
editWhen using the links to or searching for the Slovak game developer Cauldron HQ (also known as Cauldron Ltd), you are redirected to this article. However, there is nothing on this page relating to the company in question. Nor does there seem to be any indications of any relation between the two companies, considering that Cauldron HQ's latest game in 2014, Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts, was published by Activision for instance and not Bohemia Interactive.
As a result, it would seem necessary to change the redirect to a proper article about the game developer, or add any information (if it exists at all) to this article if relevant.
-Info. giver106 (talk • contribs) 19:36, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
- Info. giver106, Cauldron was determined non-notable by consensus very recently. As the company was acquired by Bohemia, it redirects here instead of being deleted completely. Before the article is re-created, notability needs to be demonstrated by our guidelines WP:GNG and WP:NCORP. Lordtobi (✉) 20:48, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
- Turns out this discussion is moot anyway, I should've looked closer at the article: ″Bohemia also acquired Slovak studio Cauldron in March 2014, with that studio's 25 staff members integrated into a new entity known as Bohemia Interactive Slovakia.″ -Info. giver106 (talk • contribs) 23 September 2019 06:32
