It is inapropriate to use a copyrighted fair-use image as decoration for a template. Please find another image to use. The flag should only be used in a section of the article discussing the flag, not as a general illustration. --Martyman-(talk) 13:50, 29 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • There is ambiguity on the image page about whether it is copyrighted and fair use, public domain or self created. Generally flags are not copyrighted, particuarly national flags such as military ensigns (although there may be laws on who can fly the flag etc). I think this maybe another case of copyright paranoia Astrotrain 14:04, 29 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
    • The aboriginal flag is both copyrighted and a national flag. Copyright in Australia is automatic so unless it is explicitly waved somewhere I would say that the flag is still under copyright. I have made the suggestion that table just be included in the article directly as it seems only intended for the one article anyway. This would get rid a many of the concerns regarding the use of the image. --Martyman-(talk) 14:11, 29 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
      • Why isn't this done with all the other articles (e.g., RAAF)?
