The article on Langdon, Kent claims that it is the same place. Can anyone confirm? 45ossington (talk) 09:22, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would say no to that. East Langdon is just one of four settlements, all with Wikipedia articles, which are part of the civil parish of Langdon, i.e. West Langdon, Martin and Martin Mill. Langdon is the parish; East Langdon is a village in that parish... can be checked here https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/election-maps/gb/ and its boundaries and settlements here https://www.google.com/maps/place/Langdon/@51.1689596,1.3018649,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x47dea55e524a1407:0x50eae2da2ed61c0!8m2!3d51.1692277!4d1.3363073 or on OpenStreetMap as well if necessary. I think the claim that the parish is called East Langdon is probably from a bit of 'local knowledge' input... always unreliable. Acabashi (talk) 13:23, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
A very helpful and comprehensive response and I apologise for having apparently started a hare running unnecessarily. On the plus side, it has apparently led you to make great improvements to the Langdon, Kent article! Unless anyone shows good reason to the contrary, I withdraw my proposal of a merger. 45ossington (talk) 17:31, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
