Austrian emergency vehicle manufacturer Rosenbauer has officially opened the order books on its latest electric fire truck. Meet the Panther 6×6 electric aircraft rescue and fire fighter (ARFF).

Built by noted upfitters Rosenbauer on an all-electric International eMV medium-duty chassis, HazMat1 incorporates a mobile command post with an onboard electronic research library that’s fully equipped to support the Cambridge Fire Hazardous Materials Task Force at hazardous materials incidents throughout the region. It’s the first such vehicle in service in New England.

REV Group, a specialty vehicle designer and manufacturer, announced it has received an order to build its all-electric, E-ONE Vector fire truck for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department in Arizona. When completed and delivered, the Vector will be the first fully-electric fire truck in North America.
