Recently spoke in Brussels about the state of defence investment at the European Angel Investment Summit, organized by EBAN - European Business Angel Network and the European Commission. Investment into the defence sector is growing in Europe, albeit often with a "dual-use" clause. I argued that in a time of security crisis, as Europe is in currently, there is no room anymore for a taboo on single-use defence companies. Wars are avoided and won unfortunately only with better missiles, more kinetic capabilities and faster decision-making. Hampering investment into this is directly hampering European security as a whole. SensusQ at #ABCDTallinn2024, SensusQ CEO Marko Kaseleht participated in a panel discussion yesterday, addressing both the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI in defence. He also spoke on broader issues surrounding Russia's war against Ukraine. "We have much to learn from Ukraine," Kaseleht remarked. "Their lack of bureaucratic constraints and strong sense of urgency have enabled them to adopt innovative solutions more rapidly."
