For the second year in a row, I participated in the Transport Innovation Forum 2024 in Lithuania. I also had the opportunity to present GoSwift on the stage. My key takeaways from this year’s TIF. 👇 🔸A lot of interesting discussions about how different parties could benefit from the eFTI regulation that is set to transform freight transport within the EU by replacing paper-based documentation with electronic data in all transport modes. We already know that Estonia has a support measure for logistics companies to integrate with eCMR platforms, but when will other EU countries follow? 🔸 Digitalization and automatization are still key topics, lack of employees and the aging population (warehouse workers, drivers, etc). To stay competitive there is a need to change and manage processes more effectively. The painful truth is that both the customers and the EU regulatory requirements go higher and higher all the time, but the price that the customers are willing to pay for the transport or warehousing does not reflect in the price in any way. 🔸 There is a challenge for logistics companies to find the drivers in all markets. If they are found, for example, from 3rd countries, the challenge is how to make sure they have the skillset for safe driving and whether these drivers bought their driving licenses or not. At the start-up session stage, Arnoldas Nauseda, RoadMaster VR CEO and Co-founder demonstrated a possible solution for that – a virtual reality driver training platform. 🔸 In the transportation industry, there seem to be only two options at the moment – if you are a big player, you can survive in the competitive market, or your offering is to a very niche transportation.

This summer, we attended the "Developments in Digital Freight Documents in Estonia" seminar, showcasing our strides in revolutionizing cargo logistics.
