You’ve probably heard about #eSIM. But how do you know if it’s the right choice for your #IoT devices? Here are some concerns and questions my clients have had about deploying with eSIM. 👇  💡 “Our devices don’t support virtual eSIM” eSIM ≠ virtual SIM. An eSIM is just like a regular plastic or embedded SIM card. The biggest difference is that you can remotely add and switch between the #telecom profiles that are on it. eSIMs come with a preinstalled telecom profile, and if your module supports eSIM transactions, there is a good chance that you can start rocking the eSIM game.  💡 “What if there’s a better price available elsewhere?” eSIM’s magic lies in the fact that when telecoms change their prices, you can switch to a new one without changing out the SIMs. @1oT already has 6 different eSIM profiles, and we’ll help you pick one that best suits your needs. 💡 “Will the same eSIMs work when I scale to new regions?” Every company dreams of growing its operations. Every year, we hold a strategy session in the US, and this time, Andrew Worth and Märt Kroodo are also onboarding a new team member, Arturo Armenta! 👏 We're very excited to have Arturo join us as LATAM Sales Manager and put more emphasis on South America's growing #IoT market! 🏝️ This year's 1oT summer days explored what island life had to offer us! ✔️ We did strategy-work-goals stuff ✔️ We got inspired by the local nature and created magnificent art that makes you go, "Hmm, that looks like you had a lot of fun!" ✔️ We tasted some delicious wine grown and produced on Muhu Island Add to that some fantastic food, water activities, and morning yoga, and we had to be forced on the ferry back to the mainland. Thank you to Andra Laugmaa for bringing us all together and the whole #1oTeam for such a great time! 🌞

In July, we became the first European company to have a site provisionally certified to offer eIM for the #IoT #eSIM solution! Now, we'll share what this means for us and how you can get involved! 🤝 The GSMA SAS-SM certification ensures that the controls at our Tallinn site used to secure our eSIM solution meet the highest #security standards. Yolanda Sanz, Senior Director at GSMA, said: "It's important that the industry offers high levels of assurance through secure site deployments of eSIM solutions if we're to accelerate usage growth across sectors such as connected cars, manufacturing and smart cities." Our goal now is to bring more attention to the IoT eSIM and drive progress by sharing everything we do transparently. 👉 We've published a slide deck that gives an overview of the IoT eSIM, details our progress, and invites you to ask questions and share your opinions. 👉 You can also join our IoT eSIM mailing list, where you'll receive regular updates on the IoT eSIM specification and invitations to test opportunities, give feedback on our prototypes, and other offers for collaboration. 👋 We've just improved our customer support experience! A major part of the most recent release on 1oT Terminal was our move to the Jira Service Management platform. You can contact our technical support via the pop-up window on Terminal or the new 1oT Support Portal (https://lnkd.in/dKipsfvv), where you'll find answers to frequently asked questions, helpful articles, and other resources. When you create an account on the portal, you can also view all your past tickets and conversations. Of course, you'll still be able to reach us at [email protected]! 🛠️ Other improvements and fixes • The eSIM management tool's search bar now shows the ICCID or eID previously used to filter a search even after you navigate away from the page and return to it later. • Fixed an issue where the dashboard's map didn't show location icons after you changed the time period. • Unified the look of icons and drop-down menus across 1oT Terminal. 🛠 August's app of the month is the Productivity Toolkit, which allows you to perform bulk actions on your SIMs on 1oT Terminal! Rather than looking up individual SIMs or groups, you can make necessary changes in an Excel file and upload them to 1oT Terminal. Our system will find and apply all your changes automatically. 🏷 The app also lets you use labels, which are helpful for making changes to several similar SIMs at a time. By the way, users of the Intelligent Connectivity app will access the Productivity Toolkit for free! Activate the app on 1oT Terminal and save time with bulk edits! #connectivity #productivity
