L'interface de l'application est facilement mise en oeuvre en Delphi, mais la conception du code comporte plus de difficultes de la part du programmeur, car cela implique la conception et la mise en oeuvre, en langage Object Pascal, des algorithmes efficaces pour les problemes en cause. Ce livre est une collection d'applications dans l'environnement de programmation visuelle Delphi, developpe et commercialise par la societe Borland (Inprise, Embarcadero). Les applications faisant partie du present ouvrage traitent essentiellement de la question de jeux d'adresse, de perspicacite et de logique, un chapitre traitant des tests a choix multiple et un autre s'occupant de la representation graphique des surfaces.
In this paper we present an approach for the optimization of ordered Binary Decision Diagrams (OB... more In this paper we present an approach for the optimization of ordered Binary Decision Diagrams (OBDDs), based on Genetic Algorithms. In this method we consider completely specified Boolen Functions (BFs). The method uses specific reordering heuristics [3] and combines them with principles of genetic algorithms in order to determine a good variable ordering. Only small populations are considered to obtain an efficient algorithm which is very fast since the genetic operators are based on synthesis operations.

It seeks to eliminate the generation of all possibilities in order to get the result. The Backtracking method can be applied to those problems for which the solution can be represented as a vector whose elements take values in some finite sets and who meet certain internal conditions. In the Backtracking method, the vector elements are expressed one at a time, assigning a value to a component will be done only after values have been assigned to all its previous components, and no incompatibilities exist between these values. Classical problems solved by this method are: queens problem, Cartesian product generation, the generation of combinations, the 0-1 knapsack problem. The book is structured into 7 chapters and provides the solutions to a number of 19 classical problems by using versions of the backtracking algorithm. This paper refers to the morphological analysis of words, as an important process in the domain o... more This paper refers to the morphological analysis of words, as an important process in the domain of natural language processing. We will present the classical solution, based on the use of inflected paradigms and of an extended data base, containing all roots of the words, and then there are emphasized some of the disadvantages of this method. Then we will present an original method, which dynamically generates the roots of words, using phonetic alternances in the context of flexionary rules. There are also presented some optimisations of the morphologic analysis algorithm.

The paper describes the structure of the multi-agent system, defined as a complex network of s-agents. Each s-agent contains 6 pedagogical agents and a coordinator agent. We have defined a new architecture (BeSGOTE) that extends the BDI architecture for intelligent agents and we have defined a mixing-up relation among the accounts, presenting the way in which it can be used for testing students.

It is possible to show that in a serious disease called as Parkinson’s disease (PD). PD is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. As coming after the Alzheimer’s disease, PD is known among critical common neurodegenerative diseases. The number of people with PD worldwide is quite high and is rapidly increasing, especially in countries (developing) in the context of Asia. The Olmsted County (Mayo Clinic) has reported the life-time risk of Parkinson’s disease at 2% for men. That value is 1.3 for women. It has been confirmed in many sources that the incidence of males is higher. It is stated that the number of PD patients will be doubled by 2030. This paper refers to the syntactic analysis of phrases in Romanian, as an important process of na... more This paper refers to the syntactic analysis of phrases in Romanian, as an important process of natural language processing. We will suggest a real-time solution, based on the idea of using some words or groups of words that indicate grammatical category; and some specific endings of some parts of sentence. Our idea is based on some characteristics of the Romanian language, where some prepositions, adverbs or some specific endings can provide a lot of information about the structure of a complex sentence. Such characteristics can be found in other languages, too, such as French. Using a special grammar, we developed a system (DIASEXP) that can perform a dialogue in natural language with assertive and interogative sentences about a "story" (a set of sentences describing some events from the real life).
