    Among the first decisions taken by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu after assuming office were recruiting 16,347 government teachers, increasing welfare pensions to Rs 4,000 per month, and conducting a skills census. He also revoked the Land Titling Act and revived 'Anna Canteens,' which provide subsidized meals. Naidu signed these five files immediately after taking office at the secretariat, following his swearing-in ceremony at Kesarapalle. He received a warm welcome from Amaravati farmers and supporters en route to the secretariat and interacted with school children and common people before holding a meeting with senior officials.

    TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu took oath as CM of Andhra Pradesh on June 12. The ceremony was attended by PM Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and Nitin Gadkari among others. Actors Chiranjeevi, Rajnikanth, Nandamuri Balakrishna were also present on occasion. However, PM Modi and Chandrababu Naidu’s bonhomie throughout the ceremony grabbed attention. After taking oath as Chief Minister Naidu was seen sharing a hug with PM Modi on stage. PM Modi was also seen having a lively chat with Chandrababu Naidu mid-ceremony.

    ​​In the earlier TDP government between 2014 and 2019, Lokesh served as minister for Information Technology, and he has been inducted again as a minister into the new NDA govt in the state. Lokesh, who has an MBA degree from Stanford, also worked briefly in the World Bank's e-governance initiative before plunging into Andhra Pradesh politics.
