The study addresses several questions related to the effect of institutional variables on foreign direct investment inflows in South Asian countries consisting of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The institutional variables taken in the study include control of corruption, political instability, quality of governance, regulatory quality, and rule of law. The paper uses panel data for the period of 1990-2015. The objective of this paper is to study the impact of institutional determinants on FDI inflows in eight South Asian countries. The main findings of the paper indicate that government effectiveness and trade openness are having a positive impact on FDI inflows while control of corruption and regulatory quality have negatively affected FDI inflows in these eight South Asian Countries.

Women entrepreneurship is one of the most important topics of discussion now days in the economy. Entrepreneurship has always been dominated by males. Whenever a women starts thinking of setting up her own venture, she is discouraged first of all by her husband, if she is married or by her parents if she is single. Family members always try to find a comfortable job for female member such a HR executive, teacher, back office clerk etc.

This paper is Empirical in nature and discusses the various problems faced by women entrepreneurs in India. The study also focuses upon the various factors which can be managed by women if she is supported from any of the key members in the family. The study has a sample size of 100 female entrepreneurs with a response rate of 87%.

In todays’ world employees work in highly competitive and strenuous environments which impact their ability to balance work life and personal life. Work life balance is a very complex and contemporary issue which is high on agenda for all organisations, HR professionals and academicians. In the Indian context, the culture of nuclear family has become quite prevalent in the last few years owing to which managing and balancing work and family has become much more difficult. The purpose of this paper is to develop a valid and reliable instrument for measuring work-life balance. In addition, this paper also throws light on various dimensions of work-life balance like time, strain, organization support and family support based on survey of existing literature. Finally, we also discussed about the managerial and theoretical implications of the work-life balance scale.
