Published: 22 November 2021 Publication History

Abstract

Since entering the new era, with the rapid development of science and technology and the accelerated pace of the global economic integration process, profound historical changes are taking place in many aspects of China's social life and economic fields. The use of new media and digital technology with spoken Chinese teaching is becoming a hot topic in the current process of new media and digital technology education and even the whole education informatization in China. The purpose of this paper is to conduct a study on the use of new media and digital technology in teaching spoken Chinese. Based on the observation of teaching practice, this paper intends to use questionnaires and examples of argumentation and teacher interviews to propose a solution to the problem of the necessity and shortcomings of using multimedia and digital technology in teaching spoken Chinese, and to solve the practical problems of teaching spoken Chinese in multimedia teaching practice, so that multimedia teaching can better serve the teaching of spoken Chinese. This paper analyzes and observes the use of multimedia technology in teaching spoken Chinese through questionnaires and interviews to gain experience from the actual teaching process, to avoid teachers going into the misunderstanding of multimedia teaching, to give full play to the unique advantages of multimedia, and to improve the quality of teaching. The survey showed that more than 60% of the students accepted the teachers' use of new media and digital technology in teaching spoken Chinese well, however, most of the teachers were not familiar with the courseware and the use of new media and digital technology was not high.
