Abstract

Welcome to the Workshop on Domain-Specific Approaches to Software Test Automation --- DoSTA 2007. This is the first time a workshop dedicated for domain-specific issues in software test automation is being organized. We are expecting a day full of exciting presentations and fruitful discussions. We hope you can use this opportunity to network with your colleagues in this emerging field.

There were paper submissions from seven countries: Brazil, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, and the United States. Each paper was read by at least three reviewers. Six papers were accepted for presentation at the workshop and publication in these proceedings.

Test suite prioritization by interaction coverage

Event-driven software (EDS) is a widely used class of software that takes sequences of events as input, changes state, and outputs new event sequences. Managing the size of tests suites for EDS is difficult as the number of event combinations and ...

Automatic generation of test data generators for synchronous programs: Lutess V2

Lutess is a testing environment designed for synchronous software specified with Lustre, a synchronous data-flow language widely used in safety critical domains such as avionics, energy and transport. Lutess automatically transforms the formal ...

Session-aware debugging features for web applications using Ruby and Python frameworks

This paper proposes a symbolic debugging environment specific to the web applications domain. Complex web applications are executed in an event-driven way by individual web scripts that react to HTTP requests coming from a browser, but share the same ...

Program representations for testing wireless sensor network applications

Because of the growing complexity of wireless sensor network applications (WSNs), traditional software development tools are being developed that are specifically designed for their special characteristics. However, testing tools have yet to be ...

An experimental evaluation of approaches to feature testing in the mobile phone applications domain

Software engineering is a discipline that cannot be applied based solely on elegant theories. Real software production requires software solutions that may apply a mixture of engineering and ad-hoc practices in a systematic way. In this sense, ...

Profiling and testing within domains to facilitate document exchangeability

Increasingly today the trend emerges within several specific application domains of adopting standard metadata formats for codifying the documents and the files exchanged across applications and stakeholders of that domain. Given a standard format and ...
