Common Questions About Loggly
What is Loggly?
Loggly is a SaaS solution for log data management. With Loggly’s log management software, you’re able to bring logs from the depths of your entire infrastructure to one place where you can track activity and analyze trends. Best of all, because Loggly is a managed service, you don’t need any additional hardware or software to start using Loggly and we scale dynamically with your operation.
How secure is my data?
There are a few ways to send data securely – either over syslog TLS or HTTPS. We store your data in data centers that are ISO & SOC2 certified and we practice top industry standard security measures. When you retrieve your data, all interactions are within secure sessions encrypted with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates.
What if I need to access to my logs that are outside of my retention period?
Our Pro and Enterprise level account offers archiving to Amazon Web Services S3 buckets for long term storage of your logs. The S3 bucket is a separate product maintained through AWS. We cannot help create or maintain accounts with AWS.
Common Troubleshooting Steps
Wait a Few Minutes
Wait a few minutes after sending an event to give it time to index and appear in the search results. It normally happens within seconds, but sometimes it can take longer.
Check Loggly Status
If Loggly isn’t seeing data check our status page to make sure we are indexing data and search is running. You should see green dots and "All Systems Operational".
