🤖Robotics Boost: Denmark and Singapore Unite🇩🇰🤝🇸🇬 The Danish Embassy in Singapore entered September on a high note with the much anticipated visit by the Odense Robotics cluster to Singapore. The objective of this visit was to gain a deeper understanding of the Singaporean government’s push in setting the bar for smart manufacturing 5.0 and translating the implications for Danish and Singaporean collaborations with public and private industry players. These are some key takeaways from this market visit: 🔹Singapore is an important launchpad for developing innovative solutions that can impact both local and regional markets. 🔹Singapore is also a place where the government takes a comprehensive approach in the pursuit of driving robotics and automation, from education, funding, research and development, talent and access to technologies. 🔹There is ease of doing business in Singapore. Businesses use Singapore as hub to serve Asia and Asia Pacific markets. 🔹Denmark has a strong and good reputation amongst Singapore stakeholders. Over the course of three days, the Odense Robotics cluster engaged in meaningful dialogues with key organizations, including National Robotics Programme, Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), DB Schenker, AutomationSG, HoST Pte Ltd ( A Sonepar Company ), Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots. Geopolitics and Navigating in the Maritime Sector in Asia 🌏🚢 This Friday, Danske Rederier and Danske Maritime (Danish Maritime) hosted an eye-opening and lively roundtable for the Danish Ambassadors in Asia alongside industry leaders from the shipowners and shipbuilding sector. As geopolitics becomes increasingly influential, the maritime sector must be prepared to navigate a world of constant geopolitical pressure. This creates challenges but also new opportunities. The event was part of a regional maritime partnership between the Danish Embassies in Southeast Asia called “A Maritime Year in Southeast Asia” focusing on promoting the maritime opportunities for Danish companies interested in the region. Denmark and Singapore take robotics to the next level! 🇩🇰🇸🇬🤖 🤝This week we welcomed the much anticipated visit to Singapore by Odense Robotics cluster. In between the valuable meetings with local stakeholders, there was a significant moment witnessed by Ambassador-designate Jakob Brix Tange - the official signing ceremony of Letter of Intent by Søren Elmer Kristensen, CEO of Odense Robotics and Prof Quek Tong Boon, Chief Executive of National Robotics Programme. ✍️This strategic partnership will boost the collaboration in the robotics community on both shores, from workshops to research projects in industries like aviation, maritime, logistics, healthcare, facilities management and more.
