Today, Svitzer presents its results for the first six months of 2024, and I am really proud of what our team has delivered, serving our customers around the globe with safe and sustainable towage and marine services. In June, we increased our financial outlook for the year, and we are now well on track to deliver on this. During Q2, we completed the demerger from A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S and independently listed on Nasdaq, Copenhagen, and we entered into a new strategically important, five-year contract with the Panama Canal Authority, reaffirming our global leadership position and facilitating further growth. Svitzer is proud to partner with SOHAR Port to introduce biofuel bunkering for tugboat operations in the Middle East. Following a pilot program using B20 biofuel (a blend of 80% diesel and 20% biofuel), we're thrilled to report that the positive results of the trial have paved the way for an ambitious plan to expand biofuel bunkering to all tugs operating at SOHAR Port. Say hello to Emily Reeves and Thomas Schrum. They’re two of the tremendously talented students who are currently writing up their bachelor's project or master thesis while partnering with Svitzer. Both Emily and Thomas are exploring new ways to potentially reduce our fuel and carbon emissions to make Svitzer’s daily operations even more sustainable in line with our long-term decarbonisation targets. As part of her BSc in Sustainable Maritime Operations at the University in Plymouth, Emily is investigating if methanol-fueled vessels are a viable option for our fleet on the river Humber in the UK. Thomas is exploring potential fuel and emission reductions from the use of hybrid or even fully electric tugs in the operation of a large container port as part of his bachelor’s in Technology Management and Marine Engineering. Best of luck to you both, Emily and Thomas. These are such cool research projects, and we’re happy to support your studies. #svitzer #decarbonisation

The swift action demonstrated by the Svitzer Foxtrot crew stands as a testament to our team's readiness to respond at a moment's notice. Proud of our crew on board the Bangladesh fleet for their dedication to rescue operations. #Svitzer #SafetyDifferently
On the morning of May 8th, the crew of the FSRU Excellence, operating offshore Bangladesh, spotted a capsized local fishing vessel with seven fishermen clinging to the overturned hull. The Excelerate team coordinated a response with all available service vessels and tugs to rescue the fishermen in difficult conditions. Challenged by two-meter seas and winds up to 35 knots, all fishermen were safely recovered onboard the Svitzer Foxtrot. All those recovered were subsequently transferred to a Bangladeshi Naval vessel. We’re extremely proud of the Excelerate and Svitzer teams and their quick actions, which saved the lives of all those in peril. #ExcelerateEnergy
