The birch trees used for the dies are sourced in the Baltics and have an extreme hardness because the trees grow slower than birch in warmer climates and, therefore, have properties perfect for die-cutting. The die-boards are delivered with an RFID chip, enabling the die to connect to BOBST Connect. This, in return, gives customers a fantastic overview in BOBST Connect about the quality of the used dies, which in an eco-system between BOBST, the Customer, and the die-maker creates entirely new opportunities.
