A slate of celebrity guest hosts have been filling in for Jimmy Kimmel over on Live this summer as he enjoys some time away from work, but Lamorne Morris may have just revealed what Kimmel has actually been up to these days.

Morris kicked off his opening monologue with a jarring montage comparing how President Biden and Donald Trump‘s recent speeches discussed similar topics. At one point, while President Biden praised VP Kamala Harris for being “experienced” and “tough,” former president Trump claimed, “Kamala even wants to pass laws to outlaw red meat to stop climate change. You know what that means? That means no more cows.”

“Fun fact: Jimmy Kimmel voted for him twice,” Morris claimed. “He’s out campaigning with him now. That’s where he’s been, in case you’ve been wondering.”

While Kimmel is taking some time away from the show, it likely isn’t so that he could campaign for the one political figure he criticizes on an almost daily basis.

Just before he took his hiatus, Kimmel called Trump “Draft Dodger Don,” criticized his family, and made fun of his recent fraud charges on the late night talk show.

Earlier this year, Kimmel even took shots at the former president while hosting the Oscars. Trump tried to clap back on Truth Social, writing that Kimmel is “not a talented guy.”

Trump wrote, “I hear he hits me all the time so I figured I’d hit him because I thought he was a lousy host. This guy’s even dumber than I thought. The thing went viral, it went all over the world. And all he had to do was keep his mouth shut.”

Kimmel later fired back on his late night show, claiming the former president was “still stewing about a joke I made about him at the Oscars.”

In fact, Kimmel trashes Trump so often that Martin Short, the first celebrity to guest host in July, joked that he was “contractually obligated” to make jokes about the former president.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC. Check out last night’s monologue above.
