Today marks International World Cities Day and we take a look at the dynamic urbanisation that is shaping our cities. 🌍 The aim is to work together to tackle sustainable urbanisation in the 21st century. More and more people are moving to the city, which brings with it both opportunities and challenges. More than 8 billion people already live in the world today and around 57% of them live in cities. By 2050, this figure is expected to rise to 70%. 🏙️ What impact will this have on our future generations and how can we shape these developments sustainably today without compromising quality of life and wasting resources? Geospatial data and innovative technologies are crucial for building smart and sustainable cities. Through smart planning, digital infrastructures and sustainable mobility, we can create liveable spaces for all.
