Microbiomes are personal and dynamic. Our recent study conducted in collaboration with Beijing Technology and Business University, published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, examined the impact of intrinsic aging and sun exposure on the bacterial community found on the cheeks. The study involved 98 adult women between the ages of 18-70 years, and results revealed that intrinsic aging and sun exposure affect the bacterial community on the cheeks differently.
