"#Robot-based X-ray technology for increasing safety in #eMobility"💡🔋🚘 Dr. Steven Oeckl, Head of Production Monitoring Department, #Fraunhofer Development Center for #Xray Technology #EZRT “Robotics meets #eMobility” is the only congress on e-mobility focusing on #production and quality control of #battery modules and related components. The emphasis here is on the efficiency of the process chain in battery system and component manufacturing from incoming goods inspection, robotics and automation technology through to quality control and shipment of the finished products. Key aspects examined at the upcoming congress will be the interaction between the various production processes and the materials involved, such as automated welding and joining processes, robotic systems for the handling of different types of components, optics-based part positioning methods and quality control using camera systems and 3D scanners. The congress will provide ideas and show ways of how e-mobility components can be produced in Germany in an economically competitive way. The talk will provide an overview of the electrification and battery strategy of #Ford, Stellantis, Volkswagen and others to achieve both goals #sustainability and #affordability. Be the clever mouse - not the slow-moving elephant. Data-Driven Sustainability comes to SPS show! If anyone happens to be at this year’s SPS trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany, maybe swing by Hall 6, 130, Forum Hall 6 on November 13th from 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM for a talk on “Data-Driven Sustainability” based on Power Reliability & PLCnext Technology. The theme is: Be the clever mouse - not the slow-moving elephant. I’ll be discussing how digitalization and automation in industrial sectors aren’t new topics, but what do they mean for economic, efficient decarbonization? These issues are crucial for achieving climate neutrality, as well as optimizing measurement points and systems all the way to the cloud. Especially in existing units that use different liquid and gaseous utilities in their processes, every cubic meter of natural gas, every kilowatt of electrical energy, and every liter of water must be used not only efficiently but also resourcefully and intelligently to create transparency as quickly as possible.
