This week’s #HydroPictureOfTheWeek showcases the dam at Lock and Dam 14 on the Kentucky River, where exciting developments are underway! 🔌 The #SmallHydro station is set to feature six StreamDiver units - four rated at 645 kW and two at 225 kW - totaling 3,030 kW. This innovative design will generate 30 % more energy compared to the previous project Lock 12. 💡 This is Kentucky's second small hydro project, following the completion of the first in October 2021, which was the first of its kind in 94 years. 💬 Interested in learning more about the 2021 project and our advancements in small hydro technology? We are excited to announce that we have secured an order for the Thyricon #excitation system at the Agus 4 #hydropower station in Mindanao, Philippines. We received this order from our customer MOTO Industrial Trading Company and thereby continue the great collaboration from our previous successful project,the Agus 7 power station.   Agus 4 is the first underground power station in Mindanao, with its power house located about 120 meters below ground. We will be managing the design, manufacturing, and onsite installation of this new system, which will upgrade older equipment.   🤝 Looking ahead, we are excited to work with MOTO on more projects, continuing to contribute to the growth and innovation of hydropower in the region.

No ano que a filial brasileira da Voith completa 60 anos, a Voith Hydro no Brasil iniciou um novo programa onboarding e finalizou a primeira edição do programa de férias, reafirmando o compromisso de capacitar, conectar e transformar o time a fim de manter todos focados no mesmo objetivo. 👋 O programa onboarding contou com a presença de novos estagiários do programa de férias e do programa regular, além de colaboradores que foram recepcionados pelo CFO da Voith Hydro da América Latina, @fabioassad, juntamente com o time de RH, conectando os novos membros à cultura da Voith Hydro, promovendo um ambiente mais acolhedor para os novos colegas, uma cultura organizacional positiva, levando a uma maior satisfação no trabalho, desempenho e comprometimento organizacional. Os participantes do programa de férias, alunos do #Insper e #Mackenzie, ingressaram nas áreas de automação e engenharia de produção da Voith Hydro, alcançando experiência prática por meio da vivência do dia a dia, aprendizado sobre cultura organizacional e desenvolvimento de habilidades comportamentais e técnicas. Para @fabioassad, a experiência foi muito interessante. A Voith Hydro pode contar com alunos que trouxeram pontos de vista diferentes para o dia a dia da empresa e também contribuiu com parte da formação dos jovens profissionais. Segundo ele, a conexão entre empresa e universidades é extremamente importante para o desenvolvimento de novos profissionais focados nas necessidades de mercado com novos pontos de vista. Definitivamente é uma relação ganha-ganha da qual nos orgulhamos muito. Recently, we signed a supply contract for the units of the Jiangxi Fengxin #PumpedStorage power station (4X300 MW) with State Grid Xinyuan Group. This marks our second pumped storage project in Jiangxi Province，China, showcasing our strong technical capabilities and the trust clients place in us. The signing of this contract coincides with the 30th anniversary of our Shanghai facility.
