What did you throw away today? Perhaps something that “just” served to safely transport your recent purchase? Let’s face it, most of us probably did. At our site in Suzhou, China, we started to break new ground. Instead of using end walls only once for the delivery of large industrial adhesive tape rolls to our customer’s production facilities, we implemented a #CircularSystem. Our partners collect the end walls for regular pick up. These are then sorted and reused at our site. In the first three years, we successfully reused about 62,500 end walls. We’re keen to partner with more customers and expand this initiative to more regions, thereby promoting circular business practices in our industry. 🌟 tesa apprentices win at the Energy Scouts Competition! We are dedicated to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions as part of our long term #sustainability goals. This ambitious transformation hinges on the collective efforts of everyone within the company. To foster this collaborative spirit, we also actively involve our trainees. From their first year of training, they engage with the energy and environment department, learning about our energy management systems. This hands-on experience is integral to our sustainability efforts. Our apprentices Fabian Beier, Lars Brandes, and Nicolai Rutz exemplified this commitment with their project “You don’t have to give 100% to save energy! ... just 37% is enough.” Their innovative use of a frequency converter secured them first place in the Energy Scouts competition in our Plant Hamburg, resulting in an annual savings of 218,000 kWh of electricity and around 95 tons of CO₂. 👏 Congratulations to the team and keep up the fantastic work! How are adhesive tapes for the automotive industry made, and what do they need to meet in modern electric cars? 🚗🔋 A TV team from Deutsche Welle now closely examined the entire value creation process of an adhesive tape at the tesa plant in Hamburg and our headquarter. The most astonishing fact for the production team: Adhesive tapes are true all-rounders! Whether resistant to extreme cold and heat like fire, able to withstand high impact speeds, or removable when needed. Today’s adhesive tapes have to do more than just bond.
