Ideas worth spreading

Info

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. All of our TEDxNuremberg team members work on a voluntary basis, driven only by our passion for spreading ideas and bringing innovative thinkers together.

Are you ready to dive deeper into the relevance of organizational culture? On December 8th 2024, Dirk Schluenz will capture the audience by revealing a breath-taking story explaining why organizational culture is substantial in times of uncertainty. In today's volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world, agility and an innovative mindset are more crucial than ever. To navigate these challenges, staying true to our values is essential. However, many of the issues we face are too large for individuals to tackle alone, necessitating collective effort. The key to succeeding in these times lies in fostering a strong organizational culture. Dirk Schluenz will navigate the audience through his talk, revealing how to build such a culture and the powerful impact it can have in times of uncertainty. During his numerous visits to the United States, including participating in programs at Harvard and Stanford University, and through over 11 years working within Israel's start-up ecosystem, he has observed significant differences in organizational cultures. Dirk has particularly noted how organizations in the US and Israel differ from those in Europe, especially Germany, in their approaches to innovation and navigating uncertainty, often viewing challenges as opportunities. As a resident of Nuremberg and Managing Director for an "icon" of the city, the "Club", the 1. FC Nürnberg, Dirk Schluenz will enrich the stage of this year`s TEDxNuremberg event.

Sales and Marketing Manager - Turkish Airlines Nürnberg

Last year, as Turkish Airlines we had the privilege of sponsoring TEDxNuremberg. The theme was "Against the Odds." It wasn't just a professional job for me—it also carried a powerful life lesson. Challenges are a part of life, but what really matters is how we face them. The biggest wins often come from, who keep pushing forward, no matter what. Keep going, even when the odds are against you! 😎 Don’t forget that every challenge is a chance to grow and grow! By the way, we're sponsoring TEDxNuremberg again this year, and the theme is "The Power of Uncertainty." Thanks to two great men for this opportunity Janis Haug and Tobias Vogel ! I just highly recommend adding it to your calendar!

Exciting news! TEDxNuremberg 2024 is approaching fast, and we are thrilled to introduce one of our speakers, Dr. Dilara Fietta (Yesilbas).   Dilara will give us insights into the intriguing theme of how the uncertainty inherent in AI can be harnessed to drive innovation and address global challenges. By shifting the narrative around AI's "Black Box" from fear to opportunity, she aims to inspire a new perspective that sees uncertainty as a powerful catalyst for progress.   Her talk is deeply personal, drawing on her own family history and experiences. She believes that just as embracing uncertainty has positively influenced her life, it can also unlock significant advancements in the field of AI, particularly through Deep Learning.   Dilara has a strong connection to Nuremberg, having moved to Erlangen for her studies and settling in Nuremberg in 2013. Over the past 11 years, Nuremberg has become her home, and significant moments of her life, including earning her PhD and meeting her husband, have taken place here.   Professionally, Dilara is the Technical Lead for Artificial Intelligence and Data at an automotive supplier company. She also shares her expertise as a lecturer at two universities, specializing in Machine Learning and AI.   Join us on December 8th to explore how embracing uncertainty can lead to groundbreaking opportunities in the world of AI.   #TEDxNuremberg #ThePowerOfUncertainty #DrDilaraFietta

We're thrilled to announce that Prof. Dr. Ulrich Ulmer will be speaking at TEDxNuremberg 2024. He will present about the power of uncertainty and how hydrogen could shape our sustainable energy future.   Prof. Ulmer, a Professor for Hydrogen Infrastructure at Nuremberg Tech University, explores how hydrogen produced through artificial photosynthesis can play a pivotal role in our energy systems. This method mimics the natural process that has sustained life on Earth for billions of years and is ready for large-scale deployment.   Ulrich’s journey into hydrogen energy began with a profound question: Can we transform our energy production and consumption to avoid the detrimental effects of fossil fuels? By harnessing the power of the sun to produce hydrogen, we can follow the blueprint of natural photosynthesis to create a sustainable future.   Living in Nuremberg with his family, Prof. Ulmer is deeply connected to the city and its vibrant academic community. His work is driven by the belief that we can establish a sustainable energy system with existing technologies.   Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the future of energy!   #TEDxNuremberg #ThePowerOfUncertainty #ProfUlrichUlmer
