The results show that while many organisations have a clear technology vision, few are able to execute effectively. 👉 A significant 78% of organisations lack an actionable strategy, and less than 40% consider their technology programs to be highly successful. This gap between ambition and execution highlights a strong awareness of the need for technology in the real estate sector, but the actual execution often falls short. 🔑 The key challenges lie in developing concrete, actionable plans and effectively leveraging technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and IoT to improve operational efficiency and achieve sustainability goals. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 According to the "EY-Dekarbonisierungsbarometer 2024", 46% of German companies have set ambitious targets to become carbon neutral, while 16% are aiming to become carbon negative. However, many companies are still prioritising quick wins over comprehensive #transformation. The report shows that while companies recognise the urgency of reducing their carbon footprint, they often focus on short-term measures, such as switching to LED lighting, rather than developing holistic decarbonisation strategies. ➡️ Despite these efforts, significant challenges remain. For example, 57% of companies cite data availability as a major barrier to setting realistic decarbonisation targets. In addition, only a quarter of companies surveyed have detailed action plans to achieve their goals, and even fewer track progress with defined KPIs.
