At RiDERgy we play a crucial role to move the world towards a circular economy. We do this by helping to electrify and charge fleets efficiently. We charge and discharge vehicle batteries to solve the volatility of renewable energies thereby requiring less extra stationary storage. RiDERgy develops software powered by the best algorithms to produce optimal charging schedules. This more efficient solution enables faster adoption of electric mobility and a successful energy transition. Our aim is to serve any type of vehicle from commercial trucks to passenger vehicles globally. We offer lower charging costs to commercial vehicles at company sites. These drive much and need low total costs of ownership. We can interconnect with partners such as charging solution providers, automakers and electricity retailers. We operate from Europe but have global ambitions and think globally from Day 1. We received support from EnBW, Baloise Group, Fit4Start of Luxinnovation, Humboldt University China Tech Bridge, BIA via the Berlin Senate and European Social Fund, EIT Urban Mobility and Unternehmertum.

APCOA Group GmbH and APCOA Sustainability in Action are making exciting moves in the e-mobility space! They're leveraging 13'000 parking sites to create the APCOA Urban Hubs, which will serve as key infrastructure for urban mobility and logistics. With up to 100'000 chargers being installed in the next few years, the Urban Hubs will help many companies continue the transition to EVs. 🅿 🚗 Of course, questions are raised about managing energy at these facilities, which is why our CEO Claudio Geyken spoke to the APCOA team at IAA TRANSPORTATION as part of prototype.club. 19 September at the IAA TRANSPORTATION was all about innovative solutions and intensive discussions - with APCOA Group GmbH's Challenge in focus. As a reminder: APCOA called for ideas for the smart use of urban infrastructure. The aim was to find solutions that transform parking spaces into multifunctional hubs - whether for urban warehouses, micro-depots, secure bicycle and motorbike parking, smart charging infrastructure or efficient fleet management. The participants impressed with their ideas and exceeded expectations. The start-ups in the competition: PIONIX GmbH | SimParQ GmbH | RiDERgy | EatFresh GmbH | fleetbay GmbH | Charge at Friends GmbH | Waterman Niels Christ praised the in-depth discussions and indicated that promising collaborations with some of the start-ups are on the horizon. The best thing is that we will continue to cooperate with APCOA as an outsourced development department. 🚀 🎤 Exciting panel discussion: Charging Infrastructure for Heavy Goods Traffic In addition to the start-up pitches, there was another highlight: Johannes Löhr (NOW GmbH), Lars Andreas Mauch (Fraunhofer IAO) and Tom Kwakman (Universität Stuttgart) discussed the future of logistics. The focus was on topics such as scalability, cost efficiency and structural development. Special thanks go to our patron Daniela Kluckert, who visited our stand and provided valuable ideas for future collaborations. The IAA mascot also joined us - our stand was full of life and energy!

One of the great things about industry events is seeing the vehicles at the forefront of the energy transition. A few that caught our eye were the Group Lotus' Emeya, Mercedes-Benz AG's G580, and the Volta Zero! We’re particularly excited about Volta Trucks and what they will bring to the e-HGV industry in Europe. This is a sector we’re following closely, as you can easily imagine the increased power and cost challenges when connecting a fleet of trucks, which requires advanced energy management to tackle. 🚛 These are just a few examples of the different vehicles on display.
