🚨Only 1% of used clothes are recycled into new garments & that is a BIG problem!👚🤯 ⏰ And it gets even worse. Europeans use nearly 26 kilos of textiles and throw away about 11 kilos yearly - most going to toxic incineration or landfill. The EU estimated back in 2020, that about 270kg of CO2 emissions were generated per person through textile purchases, which added an astonishing 121 million tonnes of emissions into the atmosphere. And with #FastFashion textile production expected to skyrocket to 145 million tonnes by 2030 to keep up with existing trends partly driven by social media activity, this is simply unsustainable for our natural resources and environment! 🌍 👉 It doesn't have to be this way.
