Our representative Micha Süs and his team won the prize of the best paper! “A Low-Cost System for Road Induced Tire Cavity Noise Control (RTNC)”. The system shows a high global reduction of the tire cavity noise in the vehicle's interior. We look back on the three successful days of IN-NOVA on-site workshop on active noise control applications in automotive industries which we organised and held in Planegg. From Monday to Wednesday, the doctoral students and supervisors of the IN-NOVA project of the MSCA Doctoral Network visited us. This project gives doctoral students the opportunity to work together on the further development of “Active Noise Control” systems. We at Müller-BBM AST are industrial partners in this project due to our experience and expertise in the automotive sector. During these days, we were able to give the doctoral students an insight into what it means to develop a robust, flexible, production-ready (software) product from a prototype implementation, which can be integrated into vehicles worldwide. Exciting demonstrations in our vehicles, hands-on workshops and inspiring presentations made our work tangible for everyone. The participants were impressed by the innovative approaches and solutions that were presented and were able to significantly expand their knowledge in this area. A joint dinner provided space for a lively exchange between the doctoral students, supervisors, and us. In addition, an interesting tour of our company site in Planegg provided insights into the work of the entire Müller-BBM Group. Many thanks to all participants, speakers, and organisers who contributed to this successful workshop.
