Mammoet successfully replaced two petroleum coke chutes this spring for a valued client in northern #Alberta. Located below the coke drums, the chutes direct coke from the drums into the waiting pit. This site required a unique operation and involved extra care and precision to successfully complete the project; our engineering team utilized our MOVE3D software to plan the lift with our client, confirming details and facilitating the creation of custom equipment for the project. On site, our #JackAndSlide and crane crews worked together to lift the chutes for removal, hoisting one end with an LTM1220 while our jack & slide team maneuvered the other end into position for our CC2400 to take over, performing the tandem lift safely and then repeating the entire process in reverse to install the new chutes.
