Meet the Darlings: [𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑟] 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐧 Born in Berlin and raised in the countryside and by the sea, Ivarr Jacobsen’s work is heavily influenced by romantic landscapes. With a piano maker father and an architect mother, Ivarr’s upbringing was characterized by an artistic household. Spending a lot of time on the boat, Ivarr has always been fascinated by images that evoke feelings of melancholy and hope. He decided to pursue an autodidact career as a cinematographer and gaffer during his studies at the University of the Arts Berlin. Today, his work stands out through romanticism-inspired imagery. His clients include Sony Music, Universal Music, Netflix, ARD, Marshall, Amazon Prime, among others.

Meet the Darlings: [𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟] 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐊𝐫𝐚̈𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐫 David Krätschmer is a berlin-based director, editor and co-founder of the creative studio killyourdarlings. In his work he likes to focus on exploring raw, authentic subcultural themes that are rooted in suburban youth culture. With a distinctive feel for contemporary themes, he blends the current zeitgeist with a vintage flavour and mix-media influences. His creative origins can be traced back to the DIY-mentality of the skateboarding scene, a spirit that is still present in his projects today. In addition to his previous work, which mainly includes music videos for well-known artists, he is constantly working on short films and independent projects to express himself creatively.

Meet the Darlings: [𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑟] 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐂.𝐉. 𝐊𝐨̈𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐫 Elias is a Berlin based Cinematographer. His desire and need to communicate visually, leads back to his teenagehood, capturing everything that moves on his Mini DV camcorder. After completing his media education, Elias continued to follow his passion, shooting countless music videos and commercials for clients like Universal, Nike, VW, Smart, DB and many others. However, his first love has always been cinema. Besides his commercial work, Elias has equally been building his fiction career, shooting TV series as well as award winning feature film projects such as Heikos Welt. He works in close collaboration with the directors and always gives it his best to find the perfect visual language for each and every project. Elias loves to create cinematic imagery which feel real yet always have a dream- like quality to them. Of course, experienced with all formats, he especially loves to shoot on celluloid.

The KYDs are back for another round of voting at Berlin Commercial: Sebastian Briem [dop & producer] and Vincent Göler [executive & creative producer]. As founders of the berlin based creative production studio killyourdarlings aka kyd both own a deep understanding of contemporary and authentic visual storytelling. Meet the Darlings: [𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟] 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨 Blanco’s passion for photography and film is immense. To this day, he continuously strives to reinvent himself and create exceptional images. He studied film sciences at the University of Siegen, which provided a solid foundation for his journey. After moving to Berlin, his career truly began. He had the opportunity to work for renowned artists such as Ufo361, Luciano, Snoop Dogg, and Future. Currently, he is more focused on creating impactful commercials with the same energy he brought to his music videos. His approach to film has always been driven by dynamics and the seamless fusion of sound and visuals.

Meet the Darlings: [𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑟] 𝐒𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐦 Sebastian is a director of photography who is known for dark, gloomy and stylised visuals. He has a unique approach for using light to create atmosphere and considers this an essential tool for his work. His filmmaking journey began in his early childhood with his mother’s camera, led to studying film in stuttgart and later on co-founding the creative production studio killyourdarlings. Meet the Darlings: [𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟] 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐣𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 Anastasja Black is a multidisciplinary film director based in Berlin, Germany, specialized in fashion films and commercials. Anastasja’s journey in the film industry began in 2014 when she was a fashion student in London, where she filmed a series of lookbook videos for bloggers and fashion designers. This moment inspired her to pursue her passion for film and study it in depth in Berlin. She honed her skills in various departments, including camera, light, and postproduction, before eventually settling as a director.
