Up next in our #PassionatePeople series is Larissa Reyes-Gleu, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Captain at MonoSol’s Hattersheim site! 💫   Since March 2023, Larissa has spearheaded sustainable initiatives at MonoSol Hattersheim, from garbage collection during Earth Week to supporting @Malteser Social Day at local kindergartens. We spoke to Larissa about her CSR role - here’s what she said:    ♻️ Why did you want to be CSR Captain and what tasks are involved? “MonoSol asked across all sites who would like to get involved as an ambassador for environmental and social issues. My colleague Karim Delgado and I decided to represent the MonoSol site in Hattersheim. In November, our EVAL™ team hosted an impactful seminar in Houston with 47 industry leaders from Latin America to explore innovative barrier solutions for sustainable packaging. Highlights included: • Presentations on permeation, packaging design, and recycling regulations. • New EVAL™ and Plantic™ technologies. • A case study on Colcafé S.A.S.’s recyclable EVAL packaging for Sello Rojo® coffee, along with presentations from ExxonMobil and Mitsui Chemicals Group on material innovations, Macro Engineering & Technology Inc. on their triple-bubble shrink film equipment, and Hiperbaric High Pressure Technologies on High-Pressure Processing technology, all complementing the value proposition of EVOH. • Lab demonstrations on packaging analysis and multilayer film extrusion at the Kuraray Research and Technical Center (KRTC). • A tour of our state-of-the-art EVAL plant, showcasing 50 years of EVOH innovation.
