Last week KONUX had the privilege of participating in an impactful event by #ICAITREN at #UniversidadUniversidadUniversidadUniversidadUniversidadUniversidad Pontificia Comillas. It was truly inspiring to be surrounded by key stakeholders in the railway ecosystem, each sharing their vision for real-world #AI applications and the challenges we must overcome to drive progress forward. In addition to a few key slides from Angel Zuil Tejero's presentations there are some insightful takeaways from the session that we would like to share: 💡 Esther Mateo Rodriguez emphasised the importance of “grounding” AI in tangible, scalable use cases, stressing that quality data is the foundation of actionable insights and that fostering a culture that embraces AI is essential for meaningful adoption. 💡 José Conrado Martínez Acevedo highlighted ADIF’s key innovation areas, particularly their involvement in ERJU programs. AI applications in infrastructure monitoring, predictive maintenance, and traffic optimisation are central to their strategy to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate delays. 💡 Jesus Salvador Rueda and Javier Jarauta Sánchez discussed the critical importance of cybersecurity in railway environments. In today’s IoT-driven world, protecting sensitive information is paramount to resilience and operational integrity. 💡 Mario Rodríguez Cordón and Carlos Martínez Miguel shared insights on ADIF’s data governance projects - their work is pivotal in ensuring a sustainable digital transformation within the sector. This week we joined an incredible event held at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, promoted by #ICAITREN, where Angel Zuil Tejero had the pleasure of sharing how KONUX are embedding AI into our SaaS solutions to improve our customers' operations. At KONUX we pride ourselves on being part of an incredible railway ecosystem. Most importantly we are proud to be a part of the conversations in this ecosystem - discussing the applications of AI in the industry and the main challenges the railway sector is facing to move forward. It was inspiring to hear from rolling stock manufacturers such as CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles), Alstom, Siemens; Train operators such as Renfe, OUIGO España, iryo and OEMS such as Hitachi Rail and ENYSE as they shared their experience with AI in their organisations.
