At our core, John Deere is fundamentally a manufacturing company. Our operations extend globally, but our most significant manufacturing presence is in the United States. Here, we've been established for 187 years and currently employ thousands of dedicated production, maintenance, and salaried manufacturing workers across 60 facilities in 16 states. Their expertise and commitment are crucial to our success. It’s their skilled hands and innovative ideas that produce some of the world's finest agricultural, construction, forestry, and road-building equipment. We take pride in being leaders in both manufacturing and technology, recognizing that our products are vital to our technological advancements and, ultimately, to the success of our customers. I’m immensely proud of Deere's rich history and extend heartfelt thanks to all our employees who consistently uphold our manufacturing excellence and contribute to our enduring success.

Exciting news: This 2024 growing season, our See & Spray™ technology has helped customers save more than 8 million gallons of herbicide mix. So, how does it work? See & Spray is like facial recognition for weeds. It uses cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning to quickly differentiate between weeds and crops. When the camera spots a troublesome plant, it sends a signal to the nozzle to spray the pesky weed and avoids any treatment to the crop itself. Before this technology, farmers often applied herbicides cross entire fields, which resulted in using more product than necessary. John Deere, the blacksmith, was the definition of cutting edge. Back in 1837, he opened a shop in Grand Detour, Illinois, to start a business. It didn't take long for him to realize from his farmer customers that the cast-iron plows they were using just didn't work. The soil kept sticking to the plow bottoms, and farmers had to stop and scrape off the dirt every few feet. Mr. Deere had an idea. He thought if he made a plow with a polished surface, it would let the soil slide right off as it worked through the fields. So, he took some steel from a broken saw blade, made what we now call the self-scouring plow, and... it worked!! A few years later, he was cranking out thousands of plows, launching an incredible legacy and sparking an agricultural revolution. Fast-forward to today, our new plows may look a bit different, but they still reflect Deere's commitment to helping customers, with designs that are innovative and created with quality.

"There's really no downside," Ralph Nudo said when asked about his new electric lawn mower. He had several reasons for switching from gas to electric: - Easier to clean - Mower can be plugged into any outlet - No more oil changes, spark plugs, and belts - After mowing his one-acre lot, he still has over 50% battery But, the best surprise? His wife could barely hear him mowing from inside the house, even with the windows open! Check out Ralph's story: http://spr.ly/6049lgF6W
