While engineering a what they call “green motorcycle” the two inventors Florian Bockstaller and Romano Pohl have come across shunt-based current measurement and were fascinated by it. Formula Student Germany is back! Today marks the beginning of this years largest competition for electric and driverless vehicles worldwide! 80 registered teams take their positions at Hockenheim Ring to test their racing machines. Students work on these projects in addition to their normal studies and are organized in professional racing teams. There are strict rules and regulations regarding the construction of the vehicles used in FSG, so an attention to detail is key to success. Every minute detail of their machines is designed, tested and manufactured by the students and put on the track to perform against other teams. Isabellenhütte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG supports this years endeavour with 50 IVT-S in order to provide top data coverage. With the IVT-S the student engineers can read data on their entire battery system and make sure they uphold the guidelines provided by FSG. Here at Isabellenhütte, fitness and health are an important topic. That's why we are proud to have taken part in the AOK company run in Siegen-Weidenau with over 80 people. Over a distance of almost 5.5 kilometers, our employees proved their stamina and were even able to secure a place on the podium!
