🚀 Publication Announcement! 🚀 We are thrilled to share that our latest research article, titled "Coupled CFD-DEM Simulation of Pin-Type Wet Stirred Media Mills Using Immersed Boundary Approach and Hydrodynamic Lubrication Force," has been published in the Powder Technology journal! This study presents a coupled CFD-DEM framework to model wet stirred media mills, utilizing an immersed boundary methodology for stirrer rotation and a hydrodynamic lubrication force to model fluid interactions between grinding bead surfaces. Our findings reveal significant insights into model considerations and the influence of process parameters on system behavior, essential for optimizing mill operations in the context of virtual process engineering. Inhaltlich fokussiert sich der Kurs auf die physikalischen Grundlagen der 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠 und 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠 sowie Modelle und Ansätze zur 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐠, -𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠 und -𝐬𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐠. Theoretische Aspekte werden mithilfe von Beispielaufgaben im Rahmen eines Workshops praktisch aufgearbeitet und vertieft.
