If you had to assign one colour to hubergroup, it would be blue, right? 🔵 Looking back to when our company name was still MHM, standing for Michael Huber München, one colour stood out in particular: yellow. This colour was omnipresent both in the logo and on company equipment. As our company further developed, the name and core colour of hubergroup also changed. Over the years, we established ourselves as a printing ink specialist, branched out internationally and expanded our product portfolio – right up to the funding of our own Chemicals Division in 2020. However, one thing has never changed: our mission to further develop the printing ink industry. 🥨 Just in time for Oktoberfest season, we have one fun fact left. This year we are celebrating 20 years of Afeigraf 🥳 – and Richard Möller is right in the middle of it! AFEIGRAF is the Association of Suppliers of Equipment and Supplies for the Printing Industry, founded on 26 March 2004 in Sao Paulo. Nowadays, Afeigraf is probably best known for organising Expoprint. But there is more to it than that. The association has made it its mission to jointly promote the evolution of the Brazilian printing industry. This includes encouraging technological development, promoting research, and – most important – maintaining exchange between the members. As a pioneer in the printing industry, it is important for us to contribute to the further development of the sector. In order to foster this progress, Richard Möller, Managing Director of hubergroup Brasil, is actively involved with Afeigraf. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2018. In the new administrative period, he will continue as a fiscal council and thus share our experience, ideas and visions. hubergroup hands over Ultra-Modern Cath Lab to Janseva Hospital Vapi With the increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related ailments, the demand for advanced and safe medical equipment has never been more crucial. On August 10, 2024, the cardiology department at Janseva Hospital in Vapi received a significant upgrade to its patient care services with the inclusion of high-tech Cath Lab by hubergroup, as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives. This momentous occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Kanubhai Desai – Hon’ble cabinet minister for Finance , Energy and Petrochemicals of Gujarat and Mr. Suresh Kalra - Managing Director India & President Asia, who kindly inaugurated the facility. Some of you may remember the term conductivity from physics lessons ⚡ –but what role does it play in the printing industry? The electrical conductivity indicates how well the charges can be transported within a solution and is proportional to the concentration of fountain solution additive and was therefore introduced as a measured variable in offset. Fast, faster, UV inks! 🏃 But what makes UV inks, aka the sprinters among printing inks, so special? This kind of printing ink cures in the blink of an eye when treated with UV light. The chemical process of drying the ink, also known as polymerisation, happens very quickly, so that these inks have a very short drying time. 🕝 But that is not the only advantage of UV inks. No matter if you want to print on paper, plastic, metal or foil – they always deliver very high-quality results and bright colours. Moreover, the printing ink does not smudge once it has hardened. Not all heroes fly – some also ride bicycles. 🚲 Four of our Polish colleagues have cycled 300 kilometres each – to support their ill coworker. The group had started the initiative with the aim of collecting donations for the private rehabilitation of their colleague. Of course, we also wanted to support this project on a company level and, therefore, donated for every kilometre cycled. Their route took our cyclists (or as they called themselves: a group of lunatics) around the Zalew Szczeciński, a lagoon between Poland and Germany. In total, they pedalled more than 17 hours!
