Yesterday, Grover proudly took the stage at Techarena Zero 2024 in Stockholm, with our VP of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, Berit Inga Stranz representing our commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. ♻️ Berit participated in the panel discussion, “The Future of Commerce: Product-as-a-Service”, alongside industry leaders, exploring how companies like Grover are driving business opportunities in the sustainable transition. Thanks to Alexander Engl (Techarena), Jonas Kjellberg (NORNORM), Anna Balez (Lizee) & Harald Friedl (LinkedIn Top Green Voices) for a great talk. Key takeaways: 🌍 Integration of sustainability: There are numerous opportunities to weave sustainability into business practices. 📱 Relevance of circular economy: Circular economy principles are increasingly vital in reshaping consumer tech. However, it's not just about offering sustainable products; they must also be accessible and convenient for consumers. 🤝 Collaborative partnerships: Building partnerships is essential for a more sustainable future. Companies must engage with their ecosystem and value chain from the very beginning. A big thank you to the TECHARENA Zero team for creating a platform to connect decision-makers and innovators with a shared goal of accelerating the green transition. #TechArenaZero #Sustainability #CircularEconomy

We're thrilled to share the launch of the market report, "From Customer Insights to Circular Impact", which dives deep into user behavior in the electronics sector across B2C and B2B markets in Germany. Our very own Sr. Sustainability Manager, Lisa S., was at the launch along with other industry experts, to share the findings and explore the relevance for Grover. 📱 💻 ♻️ “We see that customers appreciate the many advantages of rental, especially the flexibility and peace of mind. Through UNDRESS Circularity, we aim to enhance the environmental benefits of our business model and enable a more robust and consistent way to measure its impact.” - Lisa Steffenhagen. 🔎 The report reveals some fascinating insights: while 20% of B2C consumers are already purchasing second-hand devices, rental adoption is still at just 1%. In the B2B sector, 11% of companies are embracing rentals, and 30% are opting for second-hand purchases, indicating a great potential for circular practices. Overall, while only 1% of consumers currently rent, 8% have expressed openness to it—suggesting a potential for eightfold growth in the rental market. 🤝 The market report is powered by the UNDRESS Circularity project, a collaboration of partners—including Grover, rebuy, Everphone, Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Assurant, Foxway Group, Reverse Logistics Group (RLG), Ingram Micro, Recommerce Group, circulee, FixFirst - The OS for Circular Services & Products, ETH Zürich, WWF Germany, DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V., Circularity Capital, Energy Impact Partners, Fraunhofer IIS, Systemiq Ltd., DBU Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, and Deloitte. Together, we contribute proprietary data and expertise to build a robust framework grounded in real industry insights.
